The barista was very nice. Her name is Julie. The coffee very good. The pastries, canolis, eclairs, cookies and cake are great. Nice place to stop in and get your morning coffee and a pastry to go.

Cute local cafe. Glad I decided to stop in. I got an iced latte with oat milk and flavoring and a bacon egg and cheese which did come to a $15 dollar total. Staff was very friendly and many other patrons ordering coffees as well. An interesting selection of pastries well displayed that I would like to return to try!

Such a nice little cafe!! Both indoor and outdoor seating. Stopped in for a quick bite and had the special sandwich of the day - chicken cutlet with mozzarella and roasted red peppers panini style and of course grabbed a dessert - mini eclair! Such a great coffee / cappuccino menu! Sandwich menu as well as food to go in their fridges!! Highly recommend!!

Nice little piece of calm and atmosphere. The drink menu is varied. Light eats menu is enough. The pastry selection, however, is mouth watering. Can eat at table or take away.

This is a cute little place with about 6 tables for dining in. We first went here for a Sunday morning brunch after Mass. I had a tomato frittata & American coffee. My husband had the Bacon Frittata Sandwich. Both frittatas were delicious but when I heard the tantalizing crunch as my husband bit into his rustic bread, I instantly regretted not ordering the sandwich. Still, even the no-bread frittata was delicious. I’ve had a lot of frittatas and bad ones are often overcooked. Caffe Italia cooks theirs perfectly: lovely velvety eggs with sliced tomatoes, a sprinkle of Parmigiana, salt & pepper, and fresh mozzarella. My husband’s bacon was crispy and not greasy.
Caffe Italia is on River Road in Shelton. We haven’t had lunch or dinner there yet but we intend to. (The sandwiches & dinner plates I saw looked wonderful!) If you drive that road, I’d highly recommend stopping in. And if you don’t drive River Road, you won’t regret going out of your way.

They do Italian right: high quality, simple ingredients cooked perfectly.

They also have refrigerated precooked classic Italian dinners like Chicken or Eggplant Parm, Manicotti, Lasagna, soups like Pasta Fagiole & Escarole Bean as well as Italian pantry fare such as imported olive oil, pasta and sauce — and much more.

Service was excellent: friendly yet professional. Priced very reasonably. 10 stars!

The coffee was well made, and the sandwiches were a huge bargain. You can't get freshly handmade sandwiches at the price this place offers anywhere else - delicious. Jules was a great server, and she could handle the volume of clients well - lots of them seemed to be regulars. It was hard to ignore that she could use some help. Another server would have been ideal to reduce the workload and increase customer engagement.

I love finding Gems especially like this one. I thought I was just going to a coffee shop but then walked out with homemade lasagna frozen meal and Stuffed shells also cannolis which were the best I’ve had in a long time.
I wish i lived closer what an amazing find I ran into 🙌

Not bad, for an Illy coffee supplied store. Knowledgeable people with excellent machines and experience. Hopefully I can help them find some local roosters in the area, to deliver freshly roasted beans at a comparable cost.

Spinach cheese croissant and caramel coffee was good. A little low on caramel flavor though.
