Comparatively speaking about pubs in the area, this one is a good one. Good atmosphere. Nice staff. Decent apps. I just can't find a pub that is comfortable like in the real Irish style around the area. All that complaining aside, the pub on Howe looks good from the street and has a vibe that you can settle into.

I recently moved to Shelton, Ct from Westchester, NY. A few of my neighbors in the building I live in (The Birmingham) and my wife recently have been frequenting The Pub on Howe. I would like to comment about the restaurant by saying:a) The owner, bartenders, and staff are down to earth, very polite, and extremely friendly.b) The food and drinks are not only delicious but also affordable!c) The back room/pool area is so much fun to spend a few hours chatting with the local patrons...
