I've had the pleasure of eating at Andy's Italian Kitchen when it was located in Farmington and in Simsbury. When I worked around the corner in Farmington, Andy's was my go-to for lunch whether dining in or taking out. At their new location in Simsbury, they renovated their space which was formally a dark restaurant, to a bright inviting atmosphere. I'd heard about this place - supposed to have really good pizza. So we decided to take the trek across the river to Simsbury to try it. Solid 4 in my opinion. I thought the pizza was good and worth the trip. My husband thought it was ...ok. Ordered the thin crust pizza with hamburger & olives. Pretty tasty & crispy, just the way I like it. Although the shrimp fra diavlo was mildly spicy, I was pleasantly surprised that there was also mussels, clams & scallops, I was disappointed that there wasn't more SHRIMP. A few more and it would be 5 star rated.
