A perfect dining experience. Food was superb. Steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Everything plated beautifully. Veggies nice and crisp. Our compliments to the chef! Lisa, our server was very friendly, attentive and provided excellent service. We chose to dine inside due to unpredictable weather. The dining room was beautiful. Tables spaced nicely. Everything at the Soma Grille was wonderful and we will definitely dine there again when in the Simsbury area.
Lovely dinner and setting. Service was fantastic, menu selection perfect for every taste. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful my acoustic guitar player. The laying of our dinners was gorgeous. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend
We went there to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. The food, drinks , & service were above & beyond our expectations. The convenience of the restaurant being within the Simsbury 1820 House was also a plus for us. We would definitely recommend this dining experience to others, whatever the occasion may be. Live music in the bar area was nice however, the noise level was louder than we would have liked.
Lovely time, ordered flowers for the table to surprise my wife, but had to push to get them placed before seating us. Excellent food and service otherwise and lovely establishment.
We had originally reserved indoors since we expected thunder showers. When the hostess brought us to our table, we were concerned because of the live music from the bar, so she seated us on the front porch that has a roof. It was perfect and I am so grateful they were able to move our table! The food was excellent. I had the Baramundi sea bass, and our friends had the short ribs and scallops. My husband had a burger. All the food was outstanding. We will be back.
We have been there multiple times. New server slow service. Did not have the bottle of wine listed so charged me for a higher one versus a substitute. Food was average versus prior experience. Guess an off night sorry to say..
The Short ribs were unbelievable tough!! We should have gotten the short ribs for free, but they gave us free desserts that we did not need. The atmosphere is nice, but the food did not live up to it. My wife did not have the mozzarella balls in the Tuscan salad. The waiter forgot about us once we ordered. It was a disappointing evening to say the least. They had live music, but you could not hear it because the side dining room was so loud. We might try a burger in the Tavern area when they have live music again.
Excellent experience at Soma. Loved the live music, but it was a little loud for conversation on the terrace. I would recommend that the speakers be removed since they make things too loud.
Sitting outside for the first time of the season felt great. There were not any specials which was a bit of a disappointment but our food was very tasty. Lydia was a fantastic server. Engaging attentive and fun. She did a great job
This is not the same Soma as a year ago. Service was terrible and painfully slow. No one checked on us once our meal came or noticed we barely touched our meals. The food was fair and not worth the price. We won't be going back anytime soon.

Had an amazing Mother's Day brunch. So many delicious offerings at the buffet, our server was so attentive as well. My kids favorite was the milk shake bar! We will def be back next year!:)
Disappointing and extremely overpriced Mother's Day brunch for the quality, which was mediocre. One drink was included, but it was the weakest mimosa I've ever tasted. Coffee was an extra charge. Service so-so. Their regular brunch is likely a better value, the dinner menu looks interesting, and it's a beautiful property, but I will likely not be back after this experience.
Third time here, second time outside. Food was very good for the price, drinks and wine reasonably priced. Setting and live music were great, unfortunately let down by the service. Two people and we were there for nearly three hours - 45 minutes to receive appetizer, another 25 for entree, 30 for dessert, 30 for the check. Tables around us were walking to the bar to order drinks. Seemed to be enough staff and our waitresses were super friendly just a huge amount of time between ordering etc. not a huge deal given the quality and setting but tough for parents with a babysitter and a time table.
This place had a great first impression but brunch was a disappointment. We eat out Sunday brunch about 1x per month with the entire family. We were excited to try someplace new. Soma Grille has the ambiance of a great restaurant but the food was sub par. It was Buffett style which is not my personal favorite but it's to be expected for Sunday brunch. The food tasted fine but was not hot and nothing was labeled. We had no clue what was in each chaffing dish and I don't think they were heating them. It was disappointing. We will not be going back any time soon for brunch.
Karen was extremely accommodating and kind, omelettes on point and perfect bellini in a converted historic inn! It happened to be my birthday too and surprise vanilla ice cream with raspberry syrup topped everything off perfectly!
