Highly recommend! We were a party of four and had scallops, tuna, filet mignon and squid ink linguine. We enjoyed our appetizers, salads and deserts. The service was good.. we weren’t rushed which we appreciate. Atmosphere is cozy upstairs..not crowded or loud. Definitely make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance. Will be back😊

Great food & service by Claire.
We celebrated Mom’s 90th birthday with all her grandkids at Two Hopewell and are so glad we chose this restaurant. The food was delicious, and service incredibly thoughtful. They cut up the mushroom toast into smaller pieces so it was easier to share. We absolutely adored the mussels. Bill worked with us to develop the menu for our party of 17, with pre-set appetizers and a selection of entrees. He even created a beautiful custom menu for the occasion with my Momma name and the date printed on pretty paper. Last but not least, the room lighting was magical as our reservation coincided with the golden hour and the sun was softly shining through the windows. Absolutely memorable evening. Thank you Two Hopewell!
Went there for my late wifes birthday with her family. Atmosphere and food were all fantastic.
One of my favorite restaurants hand down. Always consistent, their food always tastes fresh, using local when possible.
Quaint bar dow below and excellent craft cocktails along with extensive wine list
Every single time we go to 2 Hopewell, we're very happy with the service, meals, atmosphere and drinks. It's the one spot we always go back to when family is visiting from out of town.
Simply my favorite restaurant in Connecticut period. Lived here all my life, and although I've gone to some great places, this is the best. Sean is just a great bartender; as consistent as they come. The food is delicious, from the appetizers to the entrees. The bread, with the olive oil and drizzled balsamic is just unreal. The vibe is very comfortable downstairs, small, but lively. Upstairs is very reserved and romantic. Waitresses are wonderful, and will answer any questions. Beef is just unreal....fish is just as good, might even be better. Bill the owner has created some great restaurants, and this in my opinion is the best of CT.
Delicious food.

Very beautiful atmosphere, the service was exceptional, and the food was awesome, beautifully served, and very tasty. I can't say enough to sufficiently express my experience. The menu is seasonal and fresh.

Shame on 2 Hopewell
Not sure who the manager is, but should be ashamed

So disappointed
We just had a very negative experience at 2Hopewell. After a nice dinner we tried to pay the bill and tip the waitress the balance between our $155 bill and our $200 gift card. The waitress told us that her manager would not let a tip be paid with the gift card. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager came to our table and said it was illegal in CT to use a gift card to pay a tip. We pushed back and said we have done this at other restaurants in CT. The manager angrily relented and said she would do it. I was afraid the waitress would not get a tip, so I left $28 in cash on the table. On our way out the manager was grousing about us to the hostess. I told her that I had left a cash tip for the waitress and she could do whatever she wants with the gift card. She ran after us into the parking lot yelling that we should “feel free to never come back.” Trust me. We won’t come back.
Dinner was good, although my scallops came out lukewarm, not hot, as if they had been sitting for a few minutes. Everything else was good. Service was fast and efficient. It was very loud, making it hard to carry on a conversation but in fairness it was a busy Saturday night. We've eaten here several times and it's one of the best choices on the east side of the river. Definitely much more enjoyable than the regional multi location operators common in the area.

Enjoy the lovely dinner at 2 hopewell this evening. We shared the eggplant Parm appetizer. For entrées, my husband had the short ribs and I had the Farro island salmon. All was delicious and our server Wendy was fantastic.
