The food is always good here but recently I think it changed hands. The clam strips went from awesome down to just flowery doughy no flavor lamb strips. I think they don’t make them with the cornmeal anymore so it doesn’t give that sweetness crunch to it anymore. very disappointed hopefully they figure it out and bring it back. That was my favorite thing to get there. I can’t really judge the rest of it as I think it has a different ownership now so I’m not sure what else...
Stopped at Denmo’s Famous for a quick bite and it sure hit the spot. Hot dog was fresh off the grill, bun soft, and the toppings were piled on right, not stingy. Fries came out hot and crispy, and the folks at the window were friendly and fast. Good little stand to grab a simple, tasty meal when you are on the go
After seeing other reviews, we made it a point to stop here on our road trip. It did not disappoint! The crab cake sammie was so delicious, my husband devoured his hot dog and the fries were fantastic! Denmo came out and hung out at our table and he was just the friendliest, down to earth guy. We chatted about the history of the place, the area- overall a great spot for us to grab a bite, stretch your legs and enjoy good food!
