The new Chef has made a big difference here. The two apps we had ( crab cakes , rack of lamb ) were delicious, and the mains were tasty and cooked perfectly as well. We topped it all off with a butter cake desert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We would go back to this historic restaurant again.Parking: Plenty of spots to park .

Kitchen needs to up their game. Salmon was way overcooked and steak tips were over done. The menu is basic, nothing fancy or challenging so they should be able to execute basic plates.

We are visiting from Melbourne Australia and were extremely pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere at The 1850 House. We had the Roasted Veggie Wrap and the BBQ Chicken Sandwich, which was excellent value and equally delicious. The old homestead is positioned on a golf course with a wonderful outlook. To compliment our lunch, we had a glass of the Haymaker Sauvignon Blanc.

When we arrived, no one was at the door. They were unaware of our reservation and we had to wait and help out for a table to be cleaned and joined. The hostess didn't bring adult menus with her but rather had to return to the stand to get them. When she brought us the drinks, it was two at a time, very inefficient. The food took so long, and it was all mediocre. Over medium eggs were crispy. Eggs Benedict were runny with not enough hollandaise sauce. Hash browns were patties, like McDonald's. Catch of the Day was a bland disappointment. The coffee we ordered never arrived. The only good dish was the chicken tenders and we had to ask twice for a box to go. And my daughter had to tell them about all the flys inside. I've been here before and the lamb was worth repeating, it set me up to expect an amazing brunch but was really disappointed. I know it's hard to find good staff but push for consistency as consistency is what makes the standard.

The restaurant is clean. Huge patio. Golf course views. Food was fresh, generous and delicious! Compliments to the chef! Service was excellent!
Went to dinner on 7/7/2023. Ordered a chicken sandwich with their chips, instead I got french fries with no explanation. When I questioned the waitress she said they were out of chips, I than saw multiple orders come out with chips. Responsiveness after we got our food was slow. Waited for ketchup and milk for my wife's tea much longer than you would expect. We still gave a 20% tip and ended up being overcharged by $8.00. My wife called multiple times to have them credit us with no response. I physically went down to the restaurant providing them the information on the charge, time of the transaction and the manager/owner could not trace it back after 40 minutes, he said he would just give me cash and proceeded to explain to me that it was coming out of his pocket. Lots of excuses about their voicemail system and why their processes are antiquated. Very disappointing

I was disappointed that there were no pasta dishes on the menu. There are a lot of Italians in Heritage Village & we are always looking for good Italian food.

Skip the food as it is mediocre. But DO stop by for drinks and an amazing view!!! Grab a cocktail and head outside! Perfect for before dinner drinks! And the place is never busy so table with a view is guaranteed!
