“Long overdue review. Had my husband's 65th birthday there a few years ago. When it came my turn, I couldn't think of any place better than the Nook. The entire event, both times, were exactly as we hoped, intimate and private.
I absolutely can not say enough about Carol, her food or her staff. I worked with Carol to come up with a menu that was talked about for weeks after the event. My advise to anyone, listen to her. She knows her way around a kitchen. My only regret is that the night couldn't have lasted longer.“

What a pleasure to work with a professional who was always, courteous, helpful and took care of every detail of the wedding (food, rentals, liquor, etc). “We just got married this past weekend and the food and service provided by Christine's was great! We got so many compliments on our dinner choices and the cocktail hour apps were great too. The staff made sure I was well taken care of and got to try everything as I was running around taking pictures and talking to guests. The presentation of the dessert table was beautiful and bar service was quick and efficient. Staff also helped setup our table arrangements to make sure it looked exactly how we wanted. Would definitely recommend!“

“What an amazing experience! Ariel was incredibly helpful, responsive and professional. I’m not from the CT area but I took a chance on Best in Gourmet, I found them doing a Google search, read their reviews and went with them because of how responsive, on point and easy Ariel made everything. She put together a menu on Thursday and catered their office lunch on Tuesday doing 2 different set ups on 2 different floors. Now for the good stuff. The office staff in both offices were blown away with how good the food was, how they set up in 2 different areas and made their tiny lunch area not only work but somehow feel big. Every single staff member (there were 30 is all) that I had the privilege of running in to today made a point to come over and relay all of those things to me without any inquisitive questions from me. I’m 45 years old and this is the 2nd review I’ve written in my life, the 1st was on Yelp for Best in Gourmet. I’m a business owner and I’m told I’m sometimes hard to impress but Best in Gourmet impressed me and I am so thankful that they were able to provide such an outstanding experience for some special people who really helped us.“

Also, their team was exceptional. They met every request beautifully and were such a pleasure to work with. John is a really special guy. They were very helpful and flexible in planning the menu. “I’ve wanted to try this place for a while. Very pleasant staff, sandwich came quickly (I had the Italian stallion). It filled me up, it was reasonably priced too and it was well made, not messy or anything. Very impressed and I will be happy to keep coming back.“

“A really good deli spot in Bridgeport. They have awesome sandwiches and soup options. They also have a breakfast menu as well. The lunch spot is no frills, a bunch of trackers to eat your lunch but the staff is really friendly and it’s the type of place when you come in, they remember your name.“
“Nancy and Kristin and the entire Fortuna's Catering team helped make our event perfect! Nancy and Kristin helped plan our anniversary party menu which included many back-and-forth emails. They were always available and ready to answer any questions we had! On the day of the party, the team handled it all! We didn't have to worry about a single thing. From putting out plates, silverware, and food set up, to coordinating meal times, making sure my husband and I get first dibs, and all everything in between. Each team member was kind and helpful! The most important part.. THE FOOD. We had hor d'oeuvres, a main meal, and dessert catered by Fortuna's, and when I tell you everyone complimented the food...it was AMAZING! Some of the fan favorites were the grilled peach and burrata on crostini, chicken and waffles with maple cream, the mini sliders, the smores bites, and the affogato bar! Everything was so tasty, the temperatures were perfect, and the food options were so fun and out of the "party norms" that you usually get at events which made it even better for a crowd! Fortuna's is the place to go when you want really fun and tasty food options and amazing customer service!“

“For a local deli not bad think Fortuna in Westport is much better but for a local inexpensive lunch option in Fairfield this is a decent spot. Friendly employees who can almost tell what you are going to order b4 u tell them. Area to eat in is kept clean and pleasant. Outdoor sidewalk seating would be a nice addition...“

“Every time I’ve gone to pinstripes in the past, the food and service have been top notch! (Their food is soooo delicious!!) Now I will be having my wedding rehearsal dinner at Pinstripes, next week. Sal Murano, the event coordinator, has been so gracious and helpful and I can’t believe that his response time has been faster than fast - even though I’ve been calling him multiple times on his DAY OFF! I’m so excited for next week…I know everything will be amazing ❤️“
“I just tried it on a whim. Best chicken Caesar I’ve ever had. Also, it’s awesome having it as an actual sandwich. Not sure why everybody else only makes chicken Caesar wraps. I’ll happily pay $8.50 when it’s that good. Keep up the great work!“

“I’ve been going to G&H for years, and I’ve always been happy with their food. The chefs do a great job, especially with their salads and pasta salads—they’re fresh, well-made, and just taste really good.
It’s my go-to spot when I need something quick or when I’m planning a party. The quality is always consistent, and you can tell they put thought into what they make. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.“
