My family loves this place. Our (lifetime) favorite family-friendly Italian restaurant, no question. When you visit this place and notice that by 5:01pm (after opening at 5pm), every table is occupied, just know it is for a reason - many families have likely been coming to this restaurant for decades. Welcoming atmosphere, with the warmth of eating in someone’s kitchen. The staff is kind and attentive. The food is excellent - you will enjoy some of the best pasta you can find...
There haven't been many places that I've come across that have truly impressed me in the way that Cafe Silvium did tonight. But this place will forever be at the top of my list of best places ever in every aspect of one of the truly greatest restaurants I've ever been to. At the advise of someone that I didn't know very well but grew up in NY at one of my best ever experiences and restaurants that I've been going to for over 40 years and recently revisited...
Very small place and noisy. Definitely sit by street side. Our waiter was very friendly but once orders were in soon forgot us. I was pleased I could order something that wasn't on the menu and portions were good. However, the food was not worth the prices. I've been twice but won't be back.
