First of all my order was messed up and then just for me and my daughter it came up to $50 which made no sense. IHOP was cheaper. Also I ordered Bananas pancakes it came with no bananas and it wasn’t even marked so I know which was which. I’m so disappointed and mad. I would not recommend this place or order here again.

I am in my 40s and I have been to thousands of diners in my life. Not once have I ever been told I cannot have a cup of water. I was in shock that this diner does not give its customers a cup of tap water and instead forces you to buy a bottle. That is insane, and kind of outrageous. The food was fine, and the place is cute, but not letting people have a small cup of tap water while sitting to eat is offensive to me. I was livid the entire time we were there. Would happily give this a better rating if they gave free cups of water, as every single diner and sit-down eating establishment in the entire country does.

I been coming to this diner since I was a kid. If I feel you are playing with my time, or my families food I will as you say perfectly not be ordering from here again. No thank you!

this place was small. it was over priced, and not full of the flavors you'd be looking for in any dish. the service was slow and inattentive. i would only go back as a last resort if i was starvinggggg and nothing was open or all booked up

Chef's Diner in Stamford, CT, is a straightforward, average diner. It serves its purpose for quick bites, especially when dealing with a hangover. However, I was disappointed with the corned beef, as it was excessively salty, affecting the overall dining experience. While it's a decent spot for casual meals, the inconsistency in food quality brings my rating to three stars.

Great hometown diner, Mexican influenced breakfast items are perfect. Definitely recommend this small town Mexican diner vibe to anyone passing

Not a fan of the food, it's okay. Can be a wait especially if you don't order ahead. For a "Diner" it's only open until about 3pm. That's different & rather ODD ‼️??‍♀️Parking: Located behind diner but very few spots ! Maybe about 5 spaces ...

A true GEM! A proper diner, complete with very tight limited parking (caution!). I didn't expect to find huevos rancheros in a cafe in Connecticut, but there is a large community of Latinos in Stamford and it seemed most appropriate to see their selections on their menu. Black beans and sour cream with channels was spot on. All of the other fixings were very nice, all the plates are served in square which is slightly different than a typical diner, makes it stand out. One of the things I appreciate it most was the bright clean environment that is not typical with a dive or a diner. They used porcelain table tops and countertops for the bar area. That is expensive and will last a long time. The open kitchen and quick service was appreciated. The food was exactly what we went for. The coffee selection was great. Certainly highly recommend this.Parking: Extremely limited and very tight entrance to the parking lot. Do not come here with a van, a truck or anything bigger than these. Ideally a small compact vehicle will get you in and out easier. I had a Nissan Altima and I still rubbed the mirror against the plastic fence. If you can get to the back and no one is parking there, it's a great place to turn around and park face forward. Either way you're likely going to need a second person to help you around the corner and navigate the vehicles.

The servers at this establishment are kind, but move very slow. The restaurant was nearly empty and we waited for about 20 minutes just to give our drink order, they only offer bottled water. I ordered bacon cheese fries and they brought me a plate of soggy fries with 4 slices of american cheese microwaved on top. It was putrid. When I returned the dish they offered fries with bacon on the side. The bacon was grey and that alternative was $5 more than my order. My friend's fruit cup had a spider in it. Overall, disgusting.

This place used to be a good spot for breakfast. But the new owners just break the law to profit off customers. Ask for a glass of water with your meal, and you'll be told no - you must buy bottled water for $1.50. But It's illegal for at a licensed restaurant to charge for water. refuse-customers-free-water/amp/ Credit card surcharges are illegal. But this place doesn't care - they just break the law. Have a close look at your bill and you'll find they've added a 4.9999% credit card fee. Or maybe you won't see it - on one copy of our bill, they hid it in a line called "taxes" ! Explained to them they're liable for a $500 fine each and every time they add a surcharge. They don't care.

Made a Yelp just to tell an obvious truth about this place. The restaurant's title should really be "just barely edible diner." Terrible food, the manager is slimy and does not offer water for free, you must buy bottled water for $1.50. It's illegal to charge for water at a licensed restaurant. Want to change what's on your omelette? Sure, but you'll be charged more for less toppings. The dishwasher area is visible and clearly dirty. Finally, credit card surcharges are illegal. But they're happy to break the law. En español, la comida, el servicio, y la falta de atención hasta para las leyes es una humillación para la gente hispana en esta ciudad. Este sitio es una auténtica pena.
