Unfortunately not the best experience. Eventhough we ate our pickup order fast (within 3 minutes) the fries were soggy and the fried chicken was dry and not ‘cwispy’. We were the only customers there. So one would expect the kitchen to put out something good. Howver, the kitchen managed to hand out a burnt burger… Not returning here. Positive side was the waitress. Very helpful and friendly.

Finally made it to Cwispy Chkn, after a mix up with the hours (they're closed for an hour mid day). Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait.
While the chicken was seasoned well, it was unimpressive. Not exceptionally crispy and I wasn't impressed with the portion size either. The variety of sauces also fall short of anything amazing, and don't do anything to try and save the chicken.
The Mac n cheese was a miso Mac n cheese. Why? I do not know but what I do know is i'd never have it again. Miso-disappointed Very bland and I think the miso gave it a strange aftertaste.
Also, there were no waffles! I was looking forward to chicken and waffles and apparently waffles were no longer on the menu and they “didn’t know when they were coming back”.
Lastly, even our lemonades were terrible. They came out of the fountain warm, and the ice it came with did nothing to help.
There were a few stools, but besides that there was no where to sit with our three year old, so we had to go back to our car to eat.
Unfortunately I think this will be our first and last time at Cwispy Chkn.

I was craving fried chicken and almost gave in to Dave’s Hot Chicken until I remembered how most commercial spots use the same industrial grade seed oils that make everything taste like burnt plastic after the third batch. You can practically feel the oxidized grease coating your soul.
Disappointed but determined, I kept searching and that’s when I stumbled across Cwispy Chicken. I’d never heard of them, but their website stopped me cold: organic chicken, avocado oil for frying, and real cane-sugar sodas!!!
The chicken was ridiculously fresh and light, perfectly crisp without the heavy aftertaste. The fries were golden, real-potato perfection, not the soggy freezer kind. You can tell they actually cook like they care about what goes into your body.
I don’t leave reviews often, but this place deserves it. In the name of Jesus, I pray their business triples because the world needs more food made with integrity, clean oil, and love.

The waffle was extremely hard to chew for some reason. The chicken small and mid at best. I had higher expectations for this place but I must admit I’m disappointed

Cwispy CHKN is a hidden gem in plain sight. Our first time ever and couldn't have been more surprised. Many Gluten Free Options , Bell and Evans Organic Chicken, grilled options, made from scratch sauces, and the best fried chicken strips we have had. Even their sodas are artisanal and healthier. My wife is gluten free and having an option like this is awesome. We spoke to the owner at length and he told us everything has changed since he opened up (he took all the comments very seriously). The story isn't just the food. Carson, one of the 2 owners, is a 32-year-old Stamford native and Stamford High Graduate. He and his business partner learned their skills at Johnson and Wales Culinary School. I am no expert in the restaurant biz but highly recommended that he get his message out not only about his food but about his story. I love small businesses and love Shippan and want him to succeed, just like all our other Shippan spots. My mourning period for McGee's has finally ended.

You could break a tooth eating their waffles. The sliders were the best things we ordered. The chicken tenders we not seasoned and dry because they were fried so hard. We will NOT be going back! But the young African American lady that helped us was so sweet and pleasant.

This place was a major disappointment & definitely gaslight me when it come to food. When you look at the pics on the menu everything looks amazing. Then you get the food & it's nothing like what you thought you was going to get. I never seen chicken like that & let's not get on the so call waffles.....truly a waste of money
Went here because my friend saw a Tik tok video but tbh the food was not bad but not great, the waffle was thin and tough and the chicken was mid i wish the maple sauce was on the chicken and not just on the waffle not worth the price tbh
Food is good and the service is great
