Stopped in after a Google search. Plenty of good restaurants in CT and this place is one of them. To be honest I ordered the lasagna to go and after a 3 hour trip from NJ I was ready to eat. No pics of the before only the after because it was very good. Loves every bit and intended on coming back.

The locals are gatekeeping, the pizza was really good authentic Italian, the prices are good and if you want authentic Italian pizza this is where you go! The owner is a very nice person with this restaurant being open for 50 plus years! You gotta check this place out when your in Stamford.

This is my favorite spot on Planet Earth to get a Meatball Parm Sub and they know this. I have been going here for about 30 years and love the fact that it is a family owned business, so Michael Jr. is there and delivers my meatball parm sub up the street to the Cardinal Club. And the tomato and mozzarella is awesome as well. I would gladly eat ANY of the dishes from Michaels. Now I want some!

Let me just start off by saying that I do not normally do this rating thing before telling you that I went to this place for the first time with my family two nights ago while we were looking for a decent bite to eat in the area and found Michael’s Pizza in Stamford! What I did not know was the pleasant surprise that we were in for. Michael Jr., greeted us on the way in and what we initially thought was a traditional pizza place, turned out to have seating in another room beside the main entry room. It was clean and simple yet warm and inviting. We felt like we were no longer guests who came in for a slice, but guests at his home. Mike even made sure that Angry Birds was on to keep the kids distracted while we awaited the food. Next thing I know, platter after platter of what I would normally have at an Italian restaurant starting coming to our table with portions large enough to fill us for the next several days. The fresh mozzarella paired with tomatoes glazed in olive oil and garlic immediately gave us an unexpected first impression and between the lasagna, chicken parmigiana and chicken francese- we quickly realized that these folks are cooking more with just ingredients in the kitchen. Their intention was not only to be hospitable but to feed us with dishes that surpassed our expectations and service that was not overwhelming, it was just right. For those coming from out of town like we were- this is the Michael’s Pizza in Stamford, not Port Chester- and yes, it’s worth the distance! Check it out and feel free to bring your loved ones for some tasty Italian food with great service in a warm and inviting atmosphere at a price that is extremely economical! Their food is AMAZING!! I've been in stamford for 1 yr and tried different pizza places and this right here wow, I'm lost for words. Came from nyc and this place surpassed a lot of the pizza places in the bronx which is where we came from. This is the only place I'll be buying pizza from now on.
