First off, I never would have purchased a membership if they had not sent me at least a half dozen offers at $25 a year, then $20 a year. Not my type of place. I don't buy in bulk. That said, I thought, "Well I buy chicken to cook for my dogs so try it.". Was okay for a few weeks. Girl at door was pleasant. Today I went to the gym next door, I am hypoglycemic, and I needed a salad or something of substance. A salad mind you. They don't have a salad bar nor pre-made packaged salads other than a chicken Ceasar salad prepackaged. I am a vegetarian, yes, I cook chicken for my dogs and family, but I don't eat it. I then went to look for other things to purchase for my house since I wandered in there anyway. Nothing. No meatballs my dogs love, nothing. I was walking out, and the girl (who has seen me a dozen times purchasing large amounts) stopped me. She has seen me spending $150 and $200 at a time. In fact, she has always commented on how much I bought at one time. She called me over she had to 'look in my purse'... huh?? She knows me. I said you don't have anything I was looking for today. She glanced inside my purse and said, 'okay you can go'. Granted I know she works there cameras maybe on her, but one other time same thing happened I walked in and out and wasn't hassled. I will not be renewing. Big Y suits me just fine. Anymore offers after year is over goes right in the garbage. Frankly, I never wanted to go in there seeing some of the people that do shop there. I get it now. Not for me. Thanks,??? but no thanks.

Hello … I purchased a grilled chicken & orzo meal to go yesterday from the Stratford, CT BJ’s, only to find once I opened the container and was ready to eat it, it was furry & moldy!!! Extremely disgusting & disappointing!!

Normally I’m a fan but I’ve had a few too many issues lately. I was planning on making a nice lamb shank dinner for our son who’s home on leave and just opened the lamb shank packaging and it wreaks despite rinsing them and seasoning them hoping it was just the packaging. I bought these last night and put them directly in the fridge. I tried calling to see if they have any lamb chops and can run in and get for a faster meal but I couldn’t reach customer service desk and when I tried to get the meat department only the deli was available and I was told they have no one in the meat department today. Ugh our for our soldier is ruined.

At 3:45 on a Friday, the only aisles they had open were self-assist. I couldn't have been the only customer annoyed.
I wish management cared enough to make this a great BJ's store. Not all BJ's are as pitiful as this one.

this store could stand to learn a few things from the one in Manchester, CT. the deli and meat dept is poorly run: rotisserie chickens are available sporadically and inventory is not managed well.
