The food is well worth the wait. We tried almost every item on their menu and it was all great. BYOB and seating is limited. They sell bottled water and tea and there are some restrooms in the building just steps away. At peak times we waited between 45-60 minutes. Went back a second time and ordered a burger and fries and the wait was still 45 minutes. If you order from the cold bar (shrimp, oysters, clams) the wait is only about 10 minutes.
Fresh, mild oysters and a hot lobster roll on the best toasted buttery bun. Perpefect sunny day eating at the picnic tables overlooking the marina. Took 30 mins for 2 lobster rolls to come out, but had our 12 oysters in the meantime. Expensive, but BYOB! Really beautiful spot to eat.
Nice lobster shack on the river in Stratford. There is also a small tent where oysters were being shucked. The view is over a marina but at a nice wide part of the river with salt marshes and the island across the way. There are picnic tables on each side of the marina building. The ones closest to the shack are in great shape, but were full when I visited. The others are more rustic, and more difficult to save since you need to stay by the shack to hear your order.
