Overall it was great! Checking in despite not having a clear reservation was easy the service was excellent! The lady and man up there were so kind. The cats were not to social and would either show a ton of affection or some would ignore you but to be fair it was when they first opened and they are cats. Of course they wont be social lol. Such a sweet family-run project to care for/save cats and serve good coffee!! Worth the visit for caffeine, conversation, and a kitty cuddle or two :)

Perk and Paws Cat Cafe is a great little spot tucked into the corner of Torrington downtown. The concept is unique and fully dedicated to cats, which makes it stand out from other cafés in the area. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed, with friendly staff and excellent service. The barista took the time to explain their collections in detail. The cats are adorable, cute, silly, sweet, and friendly. Guests can sit at a table outside the enclosure or enjoy a beverage inside, but be aware that curious felines may investigate you. The coffee was not the best, but the cakepop was okay. The matcha was perfect. Almost all of the food, drink items, and merchandise is made by or in collaboration with other local businesses. It is a cat cafe with adoptable cats. It was not too crowded, so the atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable. One guest got barely scratched when trying to distract a big cat during a moment with Lilly, but it was their fault. Checking in without a clear reservation was easy. The place is recommended more early with kids, because later the cats may not be having it with them. Guests loved their experience and will definitely be coming back.
