Stopped here for a Cuban sandwich. I realize it's a Puerto Rican place but I thought they might do a close approximation. It tasted nothing like a Cuban sandwich to me. The bread was wrong, the cheese was wrong (should have been swiss, maybe provolone would be OK) and the balance of flavors was just off. It tasted mainly like a Puerto Rican style slow cooked pork sandwich. It had a lot of pork and wasn't a bad tasting sandwich but if you have a craving for a Cubano, this isn't going to satisfy it. The rest of their Puerto Rican food is probably good, I didn't try it.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I almost wish they had a bigger spot and were open 24/7. lol. Seriously it's the most authentic and priced perfect. The chicken & rice is a staple at my house as well as the Cuban. You Ccant beat the little horn looking deserts filled w some delicious cream. I need to venture and try some other items considering I've ordered 50 Plus times from here but I'm a creature of habit!! You can't go wrong and the management is beyond friendly and accommodating.
First time at this restaurant. I ordered baked chicken, white rice and beans along with an alcapurria. The alcaparra left more to be desired. Very small and barely any filling. The food was good but will not be ordering any more frituras.

Why isn't there a line out the door?!?!? Finally got a chance to stop in. Absolutely delightful woman behind the counter and amazing customer service. Didn't have time for a meal. Grabbed a Cuban sandwich and a guava pastry to go. Sandwich was huge, hot and delicious, the pork was succulent and amazing, the bread was crunchy on the outside, tender in the middle. the guava pastry would have been great in the am with a coffee, but was a nice treat to cap off a lunch on the run. Going back for a meal of that pork and really want to try the empanadas!

Had an issue with a door dasher not delivering my full order, I called the restaurant and they were very kind and had one of their own people personally deliver to me what i was missing. They care for their customers and business. The food is always a hit & im never disappointed. Great staff and very kind. Wonderful communication & any time i have gone in its always clean. And even delivered to me my food is ALWAYS hot. I wish i could give this restaurant 10 stars.
I have eaten at Rosa Vega Bakery several times; the food is good, the environment is clean, and the people are welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm. I love home cooked meals, and whenever I am in Torrington, I am hungry, I like to swing in and have a decent meal and feel at home. I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a homemade, cultural meal. I always have good experiences when trying the different dishes I have had.

A Fellow Puerto Rican here and In my experience the food I ordered, Did not taste good at all.! It Taste like old oil and vinegar. Barely had flavor of sofrito and seasoning. The rice under cooked. I literally trashed the whole order. Wasted money. I hope everyone has a better experience. I will not eat here again.
