What a fantastic deli! Lovely service and great food! Literally saw the billboard on the freeway and stopped in for lunch. Already messaged my friends to stop in here if they are traveling through. Was 5 stars for dine in, but we have since been back for a take out/ phone order. There was a considerate difference in our meals with in a month. So I have gone from 5 stars to 3 stars. Having ordered similar meals as-well.

All the food was great. I love this place not my first time. My husband order fries and they waitress never put in the order. But that's ok.

Stepping into Reins I found a bustling food scene: on my left hand side and front were freshly baked goods, cold deli and packaged desserts for sale; on my right hand side was seated restaurant space. The place was homey, busy and orderly, exuding an East Coast kosher and non-kosher quality food atmosphere mixed with intelligence. The placemats were prints of the story of the 50+ years history of the deli restaurant.
Our brunch of pastrami and eggs and veggies omelette proved both delicious and nutritious, and ample. It's of medium pricing (both orders were below $15 each) and top quality and good service, which the owners obviously take pride in, and rightly so. Highly recommend.

Don't bother!
I have been going to Reins Deli for 20 years. My husband and I have used this as a stop on our way home from my brother-in-law in New Hampshire. It's been part of the vacation.
We just stopped today on our way back and it was awful. My husband order a pastrami sandwich on rye. Two pieces of pastrami on rye bread, that's it. The sandwich was served on an empty white plate, not even a piece of lettuce for the sandwich to sit on. Usually this sandwich was built for both of us to share it. When it came out from the kitchen we looked at it and started laughing. Not because it was funny but because it was so pathetic. We couldn't believe that they would bring it out and serve it to us AND they charged us $19! We never remember this deli being this skimpy with their food.
To make matters worse our son ordered smoked turkey Reuben, lol. The smoked turkey was Oscar Meyer! Not that Oscar Meyer is bad but when the price of the sandwich is $19 you want real turkey.
Unfortunately we will never go back to this once great deli and we will not be recommending it to anyone. My husband and I will be looking for another restaurant to stop at or better yet, packing our own lunch for the ride home.

Pastrami sandwich had great flavor but the pickles were a little too salty for me. The wait after I placed the order was a bit long for a sandwich buuuttt worth the wait!!

Pastrami is so expensive ($15, barely a bread, 1 tomato, onion and meat). The place is crowded with old people. It’s fun inside but the wait time is quite long.

Long wait. Disappointed
If you like a Jewish style deli in the heart of Connecticut, this is the place to go to. I often go out of my way just to pick up a sandwich

Worst sandwich i ever had and i have been all around this country and outside the country, 1.st they charge me $27.31 for an Italian sandwich which they told me it comes on rye bread it came on a hamburger 5-6 inch hamburger bun. I specifically ask for mayo lettuce and tomatoes it came with lettuce and tomatoes no mayonnaise and a sprinkle of oil and vinegar (Dry sandwiche) this is the first time in my life I ever left a comment which took me a few minutes to log in. They charged me $4.29 for a Black and white cookie prepackaged$2.99 for a bag of chips (normal). How can a socalled New York style restaurant get away with such a thing terrible taste , i am so disappointed they service was good but the food was terrible and i gave them a $4.00 tip which the food did not deserve at all so so disappointing .
