The worst Chinese food we've had. The white rice and wanton soup were the only two things that weren't terrible. Everything else was just gross. Dumplings, sesame chicken, boneless spare ribs, fried duck, pork lo mein. Staff was not friendly when picking up our order.

The most authentic, Chinatown like Sichuan restaurant in and around Hartford that serves tongue numbing originals straight out of Chengdu, China! They so cater towards the American palate too (orange chicken, wings etc) AND they serve cocktails, wine and beer!
My wife and I have been here many times since moving to CT from Long Island and I finally decided to review our favorite Chinese restaurant in the state that we call home. This time we ordered the Pidang (century egg), double cooked pork and this wonderfully MaLa whole grilled fish bathed in tongue numbing Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilies along with two brown rice bowls. Everything was 10/10. Highly recommend the Pidang and double cooked pork if you want to try something authentic and skip the Panda Express menu :)
Service is always incredible. Good clean bathrooms. They do have a bar area too for individuals to hang out meet people etc.
We'll be coming here for a very long time for sure!

We found this place online since our usual spot is closed on Mondays. The sign on the business is old and non legible, which is probably why we never stopped by. We did take out. We ordered 4 combo meals including orange chicken, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken and chicken in garlic sauce. We found the fried chicken to be very rubbery and the breading was unpleasant and old. Not fluffy like our usual spot. The chicken seemed to be fried earlier in the day and then refried. The sauce was mid, at best. The vegetable rice had stringy uncooked egg all throughout. The wonton soup had a very dark broth with only 3 wontons.
The meals had very few vegetables. It left us wishing everything was more fresh and flavorful. We typically pay $56 for this order at our normal Chinese restaurant. Our meals totaled $72 here. We were willing to spend the extra if the food warranted it. But sadly, it was a disappointment for all four dishes. We will not return.

One star for price, food overall good. I came there twice last year, food was good but tip was 19% my order (guess what, they charge you automatically on your card without letting you choose how much you want to tip them). First time realizing tipping culture is way off in America…
Tried Uber Eats, I ordered 39 dollars food but 9 dollars for service fee and packaging? This is even not tax included, yes, 9 dollars doesn’t include taxes. I thought reason is I didn’t have my membership for the app, then I realize even if you have membership for uber, it only took 1.5 dollars off.
Ridiculous, as a student, I just wanna have my home country food, but they just want your money. I know tipping culture is toxic, inflation and whatever, but you really cannot charge this much because we don’t have much choices for Chinese food.

Wow! I ordered on Uber eats and opted for the steamed shrimp dumplings and the Yang Zhou fried rice which is pork shrimp and chicken. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned and had this fresh authentic flavor, unlike the usual greasy american Chinese rice. The dumplings had the perfect chewy steamed texture and there were big chunks of yummy shrimp inside. So pleasantly surprised with my order and can't wait to try more things!

This is my favorite restaurant in CT. I live over an hour away but still like to find time once a week to come enjoy a meal. The sliced pork belly w/grinded garlic and chili oil is a must have, as are the wontons or dumplings in the spicy oil. Some excellent entrees include the mapo tofu, double sauteed sliced pork belly, and the guizhou fried chicken. The location doesn’t look like much from the outside but you will not regret stopping here!

Restaurantji Recommends
Food is so overpriced for what you get. 2 edible fillets is what you get on their whole fried fish for $36. The duck was dry and you can tell that it was not made fresh. It was just warmed up. A large lo mein was barely enough for two people. Don’t wast your money. Go somewhere else.

Delicious food, very reasonably priced. We always stop here for dinner when driving on I-84, and we would certainly come more often if we lived nearby. Very quick service as well.

Highly recommend the Guo Bao Rou, Stew Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, and the Dry Pot Style Chicken. Order any of the actually Sichuan dishes (rather than American-Chinese-Food) and the food will be excellent.
