Honestly, I hemmed and hawed about about answering yes or no to whether or not I would recommend Rien's Deli in their review section. Fairness is part of my morals, values and character. I would have liked something in the middle to choose.
There are plenty of reasons TO recommend Rein's Deli.
The corned beef Rachel and corned beef Reuben fresser size, with red onion slices (extra$$) were both delicious.
We enjoyed the side of onion rings very much.

🤟🏻Have been coming here for many years as one of our breakfast stops on way to Pennsylvania to visit family.
Last Tuesday, my dad and I brought my partner here for first time.
Also, I consider this restaurant as deaf friendly because almost every time I go there, staff knew some or able to read my signs.🤟🏻
Had dinner last Thursday evening. Pastrami sandwich and my partner had a Tuna melt. He said the Tuna melt was tasteless. We also ordered Potatoe Pancakes and they weren’t like they were last time we had a meal there. The best part was the bill $50.00.
Forgot to mention we had water as our beverage and a side of macaroni salad and an order of fries.
Rein’s has changed. Not what it used to be. No longer a customer of Rein’s after this experience.

Rein's New York Style Deli Restaurant is a popular spot known for its authentic New York-style Jewish deli food. Many visitors praise the excellent pastrami Reuben, which features plenty of tender meat and fresh, soft bread. The deli offers generous portions of meat on sandwiches like the pastrami on rye and turkey on wheat, both of which receive high marks for quality and flavor. The pickles, especially the half-sour dill, are highly recommended and remind many of traditional family recipes. Customers also enjoy other classic items such as chopped liver salad and the corned beef Rachel and Reuben sandwiches, which come with red onion slices and onion rings. The food consistently impresses guests, with many returning regularly, especially during trips through Connecticut and on the way to Maryland. The staff receives praise for being friendly, helpful, and professional, contributing to a positive dining experience.
However, some reviews mention higher prices, noting that the cost of drinks like iced tea and extras can add up quickly. While the food is delicious, some feel that the prices for certain items, like beverages and side orders, are not always justified. An incident involving service dog policies has caused some visitors to reconsider returning; despite the staff's politeness, strict policies and misunderstandings about ADA regulations led to disagreements. The restaurant's policy on service animals is viewed as overly restrictive and not aligned with federal regulations, which has marred the experience for some guests. Despite this, Rein's remains a well-loved deli for its authentic flavors, friendly staff, and nostalgic ambiance that evokes memories of traditional New York delis.
