“We didn't even know it was a jewish/kosher place when we stopped in, until we saw some of the other customers. We weren't sure it was the place for us but left happy. The 2 of us shared our plates: The burger was very good & much fresher than a lot of other places. The hot & sweet chicken sandwich w/ candied jalapenos was excellent. The french fries could maybe have used a little more salt but that's just my preference; they were nicely crispy on the outside & I really liked the garlic mayo that came w/ them (Husband stuck with the ketchup). The service was prompt & friendly. No complaints about that at all. Restaurant prices are all crazy high nowadays. So I'd have to say their prices were reasonable for high-end sandwiches. It's a nice, homey p[lace. I'd recommend it even if you're not a jew.“

“Delicious Latin food. Good price but not the drinks. Not very recent sweets. Great service and kindness. There is parking and access for wheelchairs without automatic doors.
Vegetarian options: The leg soups, delicious! The tripe is delicious although they put more beef than tripe in it. The tripe is without sauce, a lot of flavor of delicious potted vegetables! The yellow rice they make with pieces of white ham and vegetables is good. The sancocho is good but it lacks more vegetables, it only has carrots, yucca, potatoes, pieces of beef with pieces of fat added to make the portion larger. My wife once had tilapia fillet with shrimp for dinner but it was salty and she didn't finish it. The bolones, which are fried plantain balls with pork rinds, cheese and cilantro, are delicious! My wife's favorite! The food is good and perfect. I recommend it.

“We were a large party of 8 with no reservation for my son's birthday. We didn't have to wait for a table so that was amazing. The bar was backed up, so we got our salad before our drinks even though our drink orders were placed before our dinner orders. My mom and I both got the garganzola steak Alfredo dish. We were so looking forward to it, but it was over cooked so we were bummed. We didn't even take the left overs because they were too over cooked to reheat. We celebrated my son's 4th birthday, he said it was the best birthday ever 😆 so he loved his meal and the tablet at dinner.“
“We are new in the Hamden area, and were really unsure as to what China place we wanted to try, as the reviews for everything local was not great, so we both decided to try Gold Star and oh boy was it good, chkn broccoli, general chows and crab Rangoon. They were all fantastic, especially the crab Rangoon, nice and krispy and the filling was so good. We really appreciate it chef thank you! Will be back soon.“

“Food is delicious for the reasonable price. It’s not gourmet but for what they charge it is really good and a great amount of food. As far as delivery goes, the efficiency varies. I’ve never had serious issues. I think the longest I had to wait was an hour. (First world problems) the steamed dumplings are the best I’ve ever had and I’m a Chinese food lover. Anyway, best Chinese food around for an awesome price.“
