We love the library and the food! This was the first time we were seated in the back room and we were a bit disappointed. It was so loud we had to yell to hear one another and it was a bit disappointing.
Service was friendly aside from the hostess, who was slightly abrupt, but we could chalk that up to the restaurant being busy. Charcuterie board was over flowing and more than enough for an appetizer for a party of 3. Everyone enjoyed their meals - the duck and scallops. Loved the setting in the old library!
We had a great round table for a table of 6, set somewhat back, which was very helpful with the noise level. The staff was excellent. We usually thoroughly enjoy our meals here. This last time fell a bit below par. The special Waygu strip au poivre was overcooked for all 3 orders, way past medium (ordered medium rare). The sauce was delicious though.
