Ami's Crispy Bagels & Deli

This is only my third time going. First 2 times very pleasant for the most part, easy-going, and food was fresh. This morning I go and order an iced coffee because it’s literally advertised. The day before, the brunette employee told me they didn’t make it. The before that, I received one no problem and mentioned it to her where she made it. Today, the blonde employee told me she had to CHECK for ice (never heard back) then the brunette employee I mentioned it to her again prior to checking out and she told me there was NO ice. An hour later my sister went and got an ice coffee no problem :)

Every time I go to this place they get my order wrong. The bagels are delicious so I kept forgiving them but I just went to get bagels for the week to avoid having to go, and instead of getting a simple order of bagels with cream cheese on the side I not have multiple bagels with cream cheese on them. Do I eat them all to avoid going to waste? Even if I take the cream cheese off the bagel is gonna go bad beyond tomorrow. Terrible service. Delicious food

Lived in waterbury for 3 yrs and connecticut for 13yrs and have not found a place that makes bagels close to NY quality bagels . This place is amazing and there bagels are great and fresh . Started going there weekly ever since i found this place and prices are very very good .

I’m a regular and their bagels are delicious and typically consistent, but my goodness was there a customer service problem today. The blonde woman at the counter would seemingly get more and more annoyed when I would add something to my order. It wasn’t subtle in the slightest. My apologies for saying I want a bagel with cream cheese for my wife, who’s also a regular after I ordered my first bagel and that I wanted a half dozen bagels to take home. Usually the more I spend the better I would be for your establishment.

Then as I’m walking out, the same woman was clearly talking in another language to a man and it was pretty clear that she was mocking how I made my order. Again, my apologies for getting more than one thing from your establishment.

I would’ve ordered over the phone if you guys picked it up half of the time.

They’ve been around since I was a kid, so they stand the test of time. It’s always good to support what local businesses are left in Waterbury as well!

I bought a bagel with cream cheese a few months ago didn't buy the coffee there but I asked her for Splenda and the girl with the glasses said no because I didn't buy the coffee there I thought that was a little rude! Fast forward today September 2 I bought my favorite onion bagel with veggie cream cheese and a cream cheese seemed bad little sour I threw out half of it the price of bagels there they should be in perfect condition but I usually enjoy it there fast foward again girl is gone and everything is gravy again! Lol

Absolutely love this place. Always fresh, always tasty and always amazing service.

I have been coming to this location for quite sometime honestly it's a must try spot. The bagels are always great, and so is the service when you go in person. Just don't call for pick up. There's been several times when I called the location and nothing. I get it sometimes they're busy but I called while being inside the shop when it wasn't all that busy there was maybe 2 customers in the store not including me and 4 ladies behind the counter, they heard the phone ring and no one picked up. So if you're in a rush, probably try another spot that actually picks up the phone. Other than that, the food is amazing.

One of the best bagel sandwiches I've had in CT. Crispy outside, super fluffy inside, not chewy like a lot of places. Loads of bacon and perfectly cooked egg. Wish I lived closer to be a repeat customer.

I love both locations but the East Main staff was subservient last weekend. A lovely young woman named Melinda took my dozen bagels order and didn’t make me feel rushed like some other places on a bustling weekend morning. I really appreciated feeling welcome by her and all of the staff. Fabulous food (even warm bagels- yum!), darling staff, and super easy location. Must try!

Parking: Open parking lot, plenty of spots in front or behind building

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seating.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wide glass doors that open straight from the concrete. No step up.

The worst service ever. The lady with the heavy accent is the rudest. How is it the 3 customers order after me and get their food b4 me. When questioned about it, she asked me for my order again like I was bothering her. I refuse to spend my money where I am disrespected and undervalued. I should of known the customer before me walked out and called them stupid. The worst

Ami's has some if the most delicious bagels in Connecticut! Every flavor, especially the Everything and egg bagels, are spot on. Their breakfast sandwiches are fabulous as they use the freshest of ingredients and pile on the bacon! The most incredible sandwich, however, is the cream cheese and lox on a bagel. I grew up in NYC and have never seen so much lox piled on! We stop by every time we pass it always buying a few more than we need to share or freeze. Ami's is our "go to" place for bagels!
