“Always quick service...after a hard day at work, they are a real pleasure, and the wings are fantastic... Most times I get the flats, and today I forgot to mention it... my order came and it was mixed but they asked if I had time and they made me three x-tra flats on the house to go with my meal... Now that is service...smiling... See you all next Friday...“

“I try to pop into Bailey’s at least once a week and lately I’ve been gravitating towards their Saturday prix fixe menu. Ed is a terrific chef and he has been creating some new, special dinners. I’d like to start by saying that the portions are huge, I’m not sure how they make any money on them. First course was sausage and potatoes with long hot peppers. Absolutely delicious and definitely a shareable plate. Second was a cup of homemade chicken tortellini soup. Main course was crab stuffed filet of sole with a lobster sauce, homemade mashed potatoes and green beans almondine. The dinner is finished with a generous slice of red velvet cake, which I declined because I was stuffed. Half of the appetizer came home with me, but I did finish the rest of it. if I wasn’t starving when I walked in, I probably could’ve easily gotten two complete meals out of this. They normally have three or four appetizers, three or four soup offerings and four main courses, so there’s absolutely something for everyone. How much would you expect to spend on a dinner of this caliber? How about 25 bucks? The atmosphere is comfortable, the patrons are genuine Waterbury folks, the staff is friendly and engaging. Alderman Jeff Hunter lays down some great R&B tracks as a happy hour DJ on Fridays and Sundays. I’ll complete this by saying that I am past retirement age and feel extremely comfortable with everybody here. The kitchen is open until 10 PM.“
