The best in CT! We order from here at least once a week! 😄 the mix grill is always amazing. Burek is always tasty whether you get it with meat cheese or even with potatoes, all great options. Also Worth the price you pay. We feel welcomed every time we go there. 10/10 recommend this place
On our way home to CT from NY, we stopped in Waterbury for gas, got a little hungry, and happened to find this absolute GEM.
The food was phenomenal. We tried the traditional Balkan sausages, and the bread with homemade butter was especially delicious. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and full of flavor.

Edona’s Balkan Kitchen is a hidden gem that feels warm and welcoming. The food is phenomenal, fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. The mix grill is always amazing, and the Burek is always tasty whether with meat, cheese, or potatoes. The traditional Balkan sausages and the bread with homemade butter are especially delicious. The homemade cheese with freshly baked bread is a thoughtful surprise. The Turkish coffee and home made breads are also delicious. The owners are a husband-and-wife duo who treat everyone as an honored guest in their home, making the atmosphere casual, homely, and deeply family-friendly. The service is generous, and the employees are very friendly. The meal is outstanding, with nice sized portions and reasonably priced. It is the best in CT, and worth the price. Whether stopping in unexpectedly or returning again and again, this place is highly recommended.
