Absolutely amazing food! One of the best places for Italian and Portuguese cuisine… Everything we tried (Shrimp, Caprese Salad, Salmon, Chicken Parmigiana) was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Chef definitely knows what he is doing.. The service was just as impressive—Carlos was an incredible server..friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better.

First time dining here, and well worth it! Came with a friend, we shared the Grilled Shrimp apppetizer, and I had the Green Kale Soup. For entres, I had the Grilled Branzino, and she had the Grilled Cod. We ended up sharing everything because it was all so delicious!
This was the second time in one week, I visited! The food was well prepared, the service friendly & the music made me feel like I was in Europe, specifically Lisbon, Portugal!

Taverna Mediterraneo is a gem of a restaurant in Watertown, Connecticut. The food is absolutely amazing, fresh, and full of flavor, making it one of the best places for Italian and Portuguese cuisine. The menu is great and features authentic Portuguese dishes such as cabrito (stewed goat), grilled squid, beef tripe, shrimp Mozambique, Portuguese steak, and quail, along with ceviche and several Italian dishes. Guests have enjoyed Shrimp, Caprese Salad, Salmon, Chicken Parmigiana, Grilled Shrimp, Green Kale Soup, Grilled Branzino, Grilled Cod, and Portuguese-style chips. Everything is well prepared, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The service is friendly, attentive, and top notch, making the experience even better. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the music makes guests feel like they are in Europe, specifically Lisbon, Portugal. The restaurant is owned by a husband-and-wife team, and the owners along with their daughter and the rest of the staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. This hidden jewel of CT is definitely a restaurant to come back to. Highly recommend!
