Burrito ? didn't have beans , no sour cream ?, the rice was to mushy & my steak had more fat than meat . They say it was all mixed in , but it wasn't. When someone eats a Burrito the inside is what matters the most , that filling , no cheese in it no sour cream , no beans . Definitely not worth the bill! Considering we spoke to the waitress to form a constructive criticism but I don't think they got it ..

The experience at 1001 was incredible, we were there to celebrate my sister's birthday with about 10 people, each of us ordered different typical Mexican dishes, quesadillas, tacos, burritos, soda, water that comes with the house, it is a charming presentation. The prices are very affordable, most are under 20 dollars. The place is well located, it has free parking, a green area where you can eat outside with a view of the main avenue. The attention to service was most attentive.Parking: No warm or any inconvenience when parking. It has parking in the front area for two hours.Kid-friendliness: Children are allowed. It has all the accommodations for children/high chair.

I decided to stop by 1001 after my workout class in West Hartford. I went in on a Friday night and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. The workers were very friendly. I received my drinks and food quickly after placing my order. I ordered a mojito and shrimp fajitas. The fajitas were well seasoned and flavorful. The portion sizes were great as well. I'll definitely check out this restaurant again in the future.

Quantity of the food received is well below the cost paid. To put it in to perspective, you receive a baby scoop of guacamole for $10- and its not even table side. The rest of the food tastes mediocre at best. In all honesty, if you want Mexican food that tastes better and cheaper… go a .10 of a mile down and eat guilt free without feeling like you wasted money. The Atmosphere is lackluster and so is the management and staff. It’s Not worth the time or money.Suggestion: Go to Taco Bell, at least there you’re not paying double the cost for food that’s the same quality.

We were in town for the weekend and found this place at random, and we were glad we did! There isn't a ton of seating inside, but luckily we didn't have to wait for a table that Friday afternoon. The Birria tacos that were recommended by our waiter were fabulous! And the special cocktail was very tasty also!

Ordered a burrito togo and sat at the bar while it was made. I ordered a margarita and then another tequila based creation (can’t remember the name) and both were amazing. The bartender was soooo nice and very thoughtful with his drink making. The food is very fresh. Excited to go back and try more things!!Parking: It’s located next to Plan B so I imagine parking could get crazy but there are numerous side stress and plenty of free street parking.

My wife and I ate lunch here on Sunday and it did not disappoint.Greg's hand crafted drinks were a treat, probably the best in the area. I don't really get into fancy drinks but you can tell these are a labor of love and amazing. I particularly thought the margaritas was one of the most balanced and delicious I may have ever had.The food was on par. We ordered guac, chips and salsa (come with your meal), birria special tacos and fish tacos. All the food was excellent. We can't wait to come back and shout out to Greg!Outstanding customer service. He really cares about giving you a great dining experience.

After driving by this place 1001 times, since I grew up here, in the 60s, I finally found it.Just as I walked in I was immediately stricken by the young hostess from her Elegance, her poise, her smile and energy. It was Joanna, and she quickly carried me off to a table by the wall. As I looked at the menu, it was more upscale than most taco joints.Jo came back with a healthy basket of chips and salsa.I had to ask what some of the items were on the menu . After ordering some taco looking things that had some meat and vegetables inside that I couldn't even pronounce, I was settled. And eager. The food was amazing, the soft hard taco, some nice fat cut fries, and condiments with a special sauce for the tacos. The cocktail guy came by,, Greg, and described some of his concoctions behind the bar. I'm glad I don't drink anymore or I will have been at the bar until it closed.Overall, the food was 5 star material, the service was strait up 5 stars, and the decor was right on point.PLEASE slow down when you get to the lower strip of Park Rd. Just Look right past Plan B, and duck into, 1001 Mexican, the true gem of that section of Park Rd.Bring a friend, an appetite, and a smile.Everyone else who works at this establishment will be smiling right along with you!

Thought we'd try out a new place, it was ok but we won't be back. there are plenty of other better Mexican restaurants around. The guac and drinks were good. The rest of the food was very average and the portions were small. The service was pretty bad, didn't get an ap we ordered and got an incorrect drink as well as being slow.
