We’ve been waiting FOREVER for our food, even though the place isn’t busy. Ordered 45 minutes ago and after an hour got the “Mother Hen” meal — portion is super small. Food came out lukewarm, not hot. Chicken was pretty mid, waffle was yummy. Taste overall is okay (mom and gram liked it), but the timing and temperature were way off. Very disappointed.

I’ve moved away from the area, but this used to be my favorite breakfast place. So when I got back into town, I was excited to meet my daughter there. I was surprised how unclean the restaurant was. There were hardly any customers and staff standing around the tables were dirty, the floor was dirty, the bathroom was dirty. The food was fine but I don’t think I’ll be back.

If you are visiting the area, Blue Plate Kitchen is a must for breakfast/brunch. I had the little waffle hen house and it was a great portion for the price, not to mention delicious. My server, Carlina, was phenomenal- never let my coffee cup run dry and super friendly. All around an amazing experience, will definitely come back to try their lunch menu in the near future!
