Went in on a Wednesday for a business meeting with 3 partners, we sat at the bar to have a drink, the bartender Emma was a delight. She was friendly with such a warm personality. There was a young man filling the cooler with bottles of beer who joined the conversation, we stayed longer than expected and I will be back with my wife. Excellent customer service good beer and great burgersKid-friendliness: More of a bar

I don't get the hype, the place was baron only two tables in the place and no arcade just one game machine from what I seen. Place gave me big bar vibes when I thought it was a restaurant. Came for "the best burgers in CT" , it was pretty subpar our waiter doubled up as our bartender and overall it just felt very awkward. My group unanimously thought the burgers just weren't living up to the hype.

Good service, plenty of TVs to watch the games. Bland, boring, basic

We decided to give this new West Hartford spot a try on a Saturday night and the place was empty except for one other couple and their small children. There also appeared to be 1 server/bartender staffing the entire place. Our experience was confusing from the start. Our server was mentally somewhere else, he took all of our orders (6 people) while staring off in the distance, and didn't write anything down. He had to come back to the table at least 3 times to confirm our food and drink orders. It's an arcade restaurant so our bar was not high for service, but the amount of times we had to repeat our order was concerning. While the drink selection was good, the food was mediocre arcade food at best. We will not be returning. If you're looking for a good tap list and bar eats, try World of Beer instead.

Unfortunately one of the worst bar experiences I have ever had. The bartenders were given our credit card... charged us for someone else's bill and gave someone else our credit card. They never apologized and only said "someone else has your credit card".

Took the family to Halfway for my wife's birthday on a Monday night. The place was near empty except for a few patrons at the bar, and we sat ourselves. There was only one server, but she was fantastic. We had the burrata as the appetizer (which I pretty much ate all by myself). The burrata was creamy, tomatoes were excellent. Don't miss out on the garlic parm fries! I had the General Tso style wrap, which was phenomenal. Sweet, salty, wonderful! Wifey had the bacon grilled cheese, son had a bacon burger, and daughter had the hot dogs with bacon and cheese. You know I had a bite of everything, and it was really fantastic. The selling point of the place (aside from the bar, which we don't do) seems to be their games - there are board games available as well as a few arcade games around the restaurant/bar. I read that console games were also available, but honestly none of that was offered by the server, neither did we ask about it, so we may never know. But honestly, playing with board games and controllers while eating sounds gross to me.Definitely worth a try if you're in the West Hartford area and the 7,820,713 restaurants in the area are packed.

Halfway is the perfect name for this place. Part bar, part burger joint, and part arcade, Halfway can't seem to decide what it is. Unfortunately, this means it doesn't excel at anything. The lunch service we received was slow and without enthusiasm. The food was bland and the drinks were watery and tasted of chemicals. It's an ok place to take kids if you want something slightly better than fast food but we won't be back.Kid-friendliness: They have cups with tops for kids but the TVs all play sports and the arcade is small and really geared towards older kids/adults. No crayons or anything and the kids food is basic and unhealthy.

Went out for a night in WeHa / West Hartford. Drinks are strong. Bartenders are efficient serving up the crowd. It was pretty busy while we were there. The bar itself is really open, which is nice for large crowds and dancing. There was a live band playing; they were just average. Bathrooms were what you'd expect for a busy downtown bar.Didn't try any food so unable to comment on their menu!

Stopped in for a quick bite after running errands in the area. It gives off the vibe of a fun spot for the younger crowd to grab drinks with friends or do some karaoke. However, the food was awful. The buffalo cauliflower were soggy and drenched in Frank’s Red Hot. The salad that I ordered off the menu was not what I got and had a weird Fruit Loop tasting dressing. Finally, the rice bowl was bland with zero flavor. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place for their food. I’m actually really upset that I spent $60 on what we received.

This is a good place to hang out for drinks and a burger. I wouldn’t order anything else off the menu, the soda was watery and food items we ordered that weren’t burgers weren’t great. The service was good.

Service was bad, and the place was empty. Food came out wrong, waitress no where to be found. Finally got her to get us the correct food. Fries were very under cooked . She Never asked if we wanted another drink we even asked for change to play some games. Never got it , she just dropped the check. Not great.
