We've been here many times- this meal was exceptional. My Chilean Sea Bass was the best I've ever had - seriously! Although mainly a seafood restaurant my husband ordered the 8oz filet and that also was just amazing - he allowed me to sample it . The noise level was energetic as there was a Kentucky Derby party at the bar this Saturday evening but it was fun to the see all the people and the women's fancy hats.
I picked up my sister at Bradley. She flew from California, and took her straight to Max's Oyster Bar. We ordered a few starters and each had an entree. Every morsel was delicious! We had raw oysters and the Asian calamari salad (listed with the raw bar items). She had scallops and I had fried oysters. I love this restaurant!
We went for our anniversary and a card was given to us by the restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding. I had the specials, lobster bisque soup, Martha's Vineyard Bay Scallops, and carrot cake. My husband had scallops crudo and fresh oyster to start, pan roast lobster which is one of their most popular entrees and the chocolate truffle beignets.
