Where do you go when it's perfect weather to eat outside but you started your day after brunch ended at 2pm on a Sunday? My objective was to find a place with a tasty menu and one of the items had to be burnt ends. Then I found Smoke Public House met my food criteria and more because it had a nice outdoor patio, spacious indoor with a full bar section with TVs that gave the place a truly great trifecta effect. It took 10 to 15 steps max to get from my parked car to the entrance. I sat inside to get a feel of the interior functionality (aka, noise level, smells, tv, music etc). Also, to be closer to the food for efficient plate to table timing. The food got to the table at proper temperatures with delicious savory tastes within minimal wait times. The service was smooth, professionally pleasant and without any ulterior upsell motives, which is a rare but great protocol to experience. Their ambiance, food, and etiquette spoke volumes for itself that reflected a proper wholesome experience. Patrons that didn't know each other or whoever walked in the establishment were equally welcoming and friendly. The feel good vibes were contagiously expressed in a community-environment way. Ultimately, this is definitely going to be a perfect Spring, Summer and Fall location, Cheers!

Everything I’ve ever eaten here has been great, as well as everyone else I know who has been here. The real star, however, is the fish and chips. If you go, ask if they have them, I don’t believe they are a permanent menu fixture, but they should be, and it should be a destination for fish and chips. Never had better. Love the place.

Our party chose this place for brunch. First impression, the decor was very swanky but still inviting. It felt like a cool place you'd find in NYC. The bathrooms were clean with unique fixtures. The wooden menus were probably the fanciest I've ever seen. Service was a bit slow considering we were practically the only ones there, but we weren't in a hurry and they possibly picked up on our relaxed vibe. It wasn't an issue at all. The food was very tasty. I thought my omelette was on the small side, so I was surprised when I actually didn't feel hungry again until later that evening. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. They were attentive and kept our glasses full without being asked. All in all a very pleasant experience and recommended!

While this small restaurant rocks late on Weekend nights - it might be the best hidden gem in West Hartford for Happy Hour and early dining times. Expect excellent food from a truly unique menu - excellent service - and it's a Public House - so also expect to share stories with other folks at the bar.
In these times - quiet, friendly, welcoming. Usually the bartender Rich is also the charismatic owner who designs the incredible dishes the kitchen puts out. Try it.
