Their organic butternut squash is incredible. Amazing menu, excellent with any food allergy you can think of (dairy, nuts, fish, grain, soy, eggs...), where the food is actually delicious no matter what your restriction is. Normally buckwheat pancakes taste a little gritty, but not these! These (vegan! GF!) ones are fluffy and beautiful and taste right like your childhood. Even the free refill coffee is excellent. We tend to spend quite a bit when we come because their cocktail menu is too good.This place is making me consider moving to West Haven just so I can eat there all the time.Vegetarian options: Incredible vegan breakfast and vegan lunch menus!Dietary restrictions: Incredible selection of gluten free baked goods (the sandwich bread is delicious!)

My favorite diner. Consistent excellent service, hot cocoa made with real chocolate and delicious breakfast items. I love to watch the trains go by at the top of the hill while I sit with good company. I never feel rushed to finish and vacate my seat.

If you're a fan of the Subculture vibe in South Florida, you'll love Georgie's Diner. It's very reminiscent of Howleys as you're typically greeted with some kind of 80s alternative music on the walk-up, like The Smiths, or The Cure. The building has a 1950s vibe to it and it's hardworking staff come in all shades, colors, and distinct styles. It makes me feel like I'm amongst my people, and I'm instantly comfortable. As for food and drink; everything is delicious, albeit a bit on the pricier side for a diner. Still, the portion sizes are nice, the espresso is freshly poured, and the boozey selections are a healthy plus if you're feelin' froggy. A definite must go for visitors and locals alike.

For a diner I was so amazed at all the vegan gluten free items that were also labeled on the menu. They also have a separate air fryer for those with a severe gluten allergy. I wish I could remember the name of our server who was quite friendly and a pleasure to speak with .
