“One of the Best Japanese Restaurants in Connecticut if you love Sushi and Sashimi. The Spider roll made with fried soft shell crab is to die for!! My wife had the Dinner Bento Box with the Bento Chicken and loved everything. The service was outstanding. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous. The soup or salad that comes with the meal is very good. We go to the best rated restaurants in Connecticut and NY. and if they were to improve their ambiance/atmosphere which is a little plain and make the restaurant more romantic it would be a destination restaurant and one of the best anywhere.“

“Fantastic sushi bar. It’s pretty small and with limited bar seating which results in a more intimate experience. I got a red miso soup, the black cod appetizer, 2 hand rolls and 2 sushi bites, as well as a hen & heifer panna cotta dessert. Everything was delicious and the sushi tasted very high quality. It was fun to sit at the counter and watch everything get made as well. The only caveat is it can get pretty expensive if you go the omakase route (or depending on what kind of dishes you order)! I didn’t get anything to drink but there’s a nice selection of sake, whiskey and wine also!“

I went alone as I do most places that I do reviews for because I have time to sit and think about my food, the service, the environment, as oppose to when I’m with friends or family, which can be sometimes distracting. The sushi here is great. It’s a good lunch spot for yourself or with a friend. It’s definitely not the spot to take a large group.

I got salad, friend had miso soup. Appetizers were salmon avocado Maki roll and Katsu. The Maki roll was creamy fresh. Katsu was very crispy outside, flaky inside. “One of the better bang for your buck ayce sushi places with a decent selection of items to choose from on the menu.Started with a kani salad and seaweed salad both were fairly refreshing and pallet opening for what came next .The sushi was fresh with a good rice to filling ratio with a few unique rolls and chef creations .Tempura only had a few to choose from but still very tasty with a nice crunch especially the shrimp and the veggies.Grilled items were decent and flavorful but the squid was a bit tough .The beef udon soup was amazingly good and highly recommended order. Come hungry and try everything , we came between lunch and dinner perfect time before the dinner crowds packed the place.Thanks“

“Anaya sushi is the old York Street Noodle House!!!! The sushi was just ok but the Spicy wok basil noodles were exactly as I remember them! The service was ok, no problems, one roll took a long time to come and once we got our food we did not see a server for a while. Would go back for noodles!“

“My fiancé and I loyally order from here when we are craving Chinese food or sushi. Not only does the food always hit the spot, but their service is amazing. When I informed the woman working at the front of my gluten sensitivity, she took time to run through every ingredient and its contents and triple checked there would be no contamination (who knew imitation crab had gluten?). They took my sensitivity very seriously and I’m extremely grateful for that, as this service is rare.
