Thrilled to have a sushi restaurant of this caliber without going to NYC. Sushi is very fresh. Kudos to the chef’s extraordinary talent to create interesting and delicious combinations. Highly recommend.

Food: Honestly, we had a really great Omakase experience here - props to New Haven and props to Otaru for bringing great variety and fresh sushi to New Haven, CT!Service: our Sushi chef and wait staff were also great.Ambiance: The restaurant itself is very small and has limited seating at the sushi bar so make sure to reserve in advance for a nice and intimate experience.

An absolute gem in the New Haven downtown area. This is one of the best sushi omakases I’ve ever tried in both quality and value. This is even among well-reviewed spots in Japan and NYC.My girlfriend took me here for my birthday dinner, and the whole time I thought it was a $200 pp meal - there were multiple courses with uni (the uni with shiso piece is in my all-time top bites of sushi), caviar, and toro, and each piece of fish was fresh and high quality.
