It's a neighborhood eatery that has a very reasonably priced menu for portion sizes. There were three of us that had breakfast ordering the Philadelphia Omelet, Eggs Benedict, and Kathie's Croque Madame. I only gave them 4-stars as the bread used for French Toast was sitting on a bed of creamed spinach that made bread soggy on the bottom. It was still good and loved the cream spinach. Also, all our orders came with home fries.

We have only been here for breakfast so far but the food is fresh and delicious. The prices are very resonable, I had an egg sandwich with homemade corned beef on it. Tasted great. We plan to go back for dinner. If you want wine or beer or other its BYOB. The restaurant is in a small plaza, you would even know it was there. Worth taking a ride to.

West End Bistro has been in West Haven for over 4 years and always has great choices even for vegans! They will customize most dishes to meet your tastes or dietary preferences.

My very favorite restaurant in the area. The food is of the utmost quality, the menu is original and somewhat eclectic and the veggie burger and yummy fries are the best I have ever had. I try to get there as often as possible. Also kudos to the staff--everyone is delightful and highly attentive. I just love this place!

We've been here a couple times, once for brunch (we got lunch/dinner food) and once for dinner (we got breakfast food). The food as all been great. For breakfast, I recommend the sticky bun pancakes or the creme brulee pancakes, and the sides are great. For lunch or dinner, I would go with one of their burgers, they all look excellent. Stay for dessert as well.

Honestly, I'm mad I didn't know about this place sooner. Took a group of eleven out to brunch post bridal shopping. Here's a breakdown of why they are great: 1) They accepted a reservation for my group. Were reasonable flexible about the time, considering I wasn't sure how long it would take us to go dress shopping. 2) When I walked in, everyone was super friendly. THEY ARE BYOB, and were quick to bring me glasses for a sparkly toast. I will say they did not have enough of the correct glasses, but will not hold that against them. Just be aware if you have a large group and that matters to you. Service was friendly and delightful. 3) Brunch all day, but you can get non brunch items as well. 4) The food came out relatively quick, and was absolutely delicious. Portions were generous (I'm looking at you, chicken and pancakes). My husband and I SPLIT my leftovers for breakfast the next day, to give you an idea of how generous. And we were full from that. 5) Very reasonable. The bill came to about $160 for all of us, pre-tip. Not so great: The building is not pretty, the parking lot is a bit of a mess, and the interior is not "fancy" by any means. Don't let any of this stop you, my experience here was great and I will return.

Hands down, one of the most creative chefs in the area! Havent had a bad plate in all the times I ha e been here. Plenty of rich dishes, anything here with pork is worth your while, but also plenty of lighter options full of flavor. Service is excellent. Server even hand-made my 3 year old lemonade from scratch even though it wasnt on the menu! Go here and give it a try. Portions are pretty large, and at nornal for the area entree prices, the food is also a great value!

This place is AWESOME. Menus is huge and has unique dishes. Environment could use some work (stained sheetrock tiles and chipped paint) but the food, staff, and prices make up for everything ten fold. Do not pass up this place!

An amazing find in West Haven. A great place for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were phenomenal. The hash was homemade and tasty. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked. The dirty potatoes were well spiced.

OMG I am not allowed enough words in this review to express what a wonderful place this is!! We stumbled upon this restaurant when we were looking to move to Connecticut from North Carolina. Since then we have returned to this restaurant for every major event in our lives and any congratulatory dinner. We have brought several family and friends who have all also now fallen in love with this restaurant! There is a vast menu with exceptional twists on every type of food. Each item sounds more delicious than the next ( which sometimes makes it hard to narrow down to one haha) I have had numerous different foods on the breakfast lunch and dinner sections and I have never had a single bad meal. The food is so delicious! The staff are unbelievably friendly and accommodating! The two owners are so sweet! This is a small hole in the wall type restaurant but delivers big in every single way!! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! P.s. if you like Ranch try theirs, it's homemade and super good!

Service was a little quicker this time as there were mostly empty tables. We got lunch today, the bourbon burger and I got the drunk chick chicken sandwich with an egg on it. He liked his burger a lot. My chicken sandwich was good and had a lot of flavor, only negative thing is that the chicken was friend but so pale fried as if it needed some more time. I finished it anyways and was satisfied.

First of all I've only tried their breakfast foods. So this is my review on that. Excellent breakfast especially their pancakes and french toast. The portion sizes are very reasonable. Prices are too! No major complaints. I will be revisiting this place for now on. My family and I are huge breakfast people. We now have two favorite places.

Went here around 11:45 for an early lunch (happens to be Father's Day) there was a 45 minute wait so we left and came back, I'd say there was also a 45 minute wait for food after we had ordered. Lots of waiting. It was busy but not a packed house, so I was a little annoyed. Also it was really warm inside.. too warm. However, the staff is so nice and accommodating and the food is FRESH. I got eggs benny and my partner got the garbage (variety dish). Good prices. The home fries are tasty and the food is good. Even with the wait I'll be coming back. Shout out to the yummy eggplant poppers we had last time we were here! YUM. Other things on the menu I want to try for sure.

First of all let us say their food, and selections are very good. Unfortunately we won't return for breakfast when the place is crowded. Sat and watched 3 tables, that came in after us, get cleaned and waited on. We waited another 5 minutes, and didn't get noticed. Next time it's crowded, we will go somewhere else.
