This tiny gem of a bakery has excellent breads and baked goods. The mushroom and onion foccica was amazing. The Pinsa flat bread was greatnfoe sandwiches. I forgot to mention the pannatone.

Heard so many great things about this bakery and maybe I am missing something but the few things I got were awful! Was looking for St. Joseph Zeppoles and although they did make them, they are nothing like the ones I knew and grew up with from the Bronx. I understand that different regions make things differently but these were way off. The only thing I appreciated from them was the use of an amarena cherry on top versus the maraschino! The pastry itself was harsh - somewhat heavy and thick and had a crunch to it and tasted flat-The filling was just Italian pastry cream-no choice! Even purchased their number one seller, the limoncello cookie and that was not enjoyable whatsoever! Tasted like uncooked lemon dough. They sell these mini cookies per piece too as opposed to by the pound. The terrible Zeppole cost $8.00! Really breaks my heart to have to write this BUT if you are a traditional italian pastry lover, fair warning, this is NOT the spot for you. The people working there are very sweet and last note, the place is set back and not easy to find-not on the main strip of the post road. Ciao for now, actually, for good!

My friend and I took a sourdough bread class at Fatto a Mano and it was excellent! Very informative and we got to both watch Pierluigi make the bread and practice ourselves which was a great way to learn. Highly recommend!

I recently signed up for Pierluigis Sourdough Bread making class at the Fatto an Mano Bakery in Westport, CT and it was a 5 star experience all the way. I felt it was taught in an organized way so that home bakers could feel educated and empowered to make beautiful artisanal bread at home. We learned all the different stages of making sourdough and we were able to get our hands on some dough and learn the techniques from the master himself. He is a gentleman!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Great authentic Italian baked goods. Bombolone pistachio is heaven. Breads and babà just like in Napoli. You will pay for it, but you’re getting top quality Italian products, which are almost impossible to find good ones in CT. Order online a few days before, always easy.

This place is a little gem! I found it totally by accident, saw a teeny tiny sign on a building, thought to myself … “made by hand?” What IS this? Looked it up and decided to try one thing… ordered, went to pick up and KISMET! The almond biscotti are magnificent! Went back the following weekend and have now tried numerous items. The breadsticks are beautiful to behold and delicious! Absolutely everything we have tried has been stellar! The customer service is absolutely personal and first rate! A lovely wonderful addition to the Westport culinary world. Truly a delightful treat. Don’t hesitate to order for pick up - the pickup line is fast and seamless. A++

We tried the sour dough bread and it is delicious! The perfect balance of taste and freshness. Soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Also, my son has life threatening allergies to nuts and seeds like sesame etc and he did just fine with this bread!

Very tasty, best bakery in town, would recommend. Their focaccia is perfect and their Cornette are a personal favorite of mine. Great staff and service through their website as well. Overall a 10/10 bakery.

Absolutely THE best! I drove an hour to purchase breads from Fatto a Mano. They have the best sourdough, biscotti, and Sfogliatella. I'm a long time sourdough eater. I mean the real ones. Tried some versions in Europe and San Francisco, Fatto a Mano makes the best! Biscotti was not my thing, but now it's my favorite! Sfogliatella is our family favorite dessert. We literally purchase it whenever we see it. Again, Fatto a Mano's is the best. If you live in Westport, CT area, this is a must try!

The best panettone I’ve ever eaten! Pierluigi is so passionate about his products and it certainly shows in each of his items. He uses the freshest, best quality ingredients. Everything is so authentic. It brings me back to Italy!

Pierluigi makes the most authentic and tasty panettone, sfogliatella, and artisanal breads. His mother yeast is like art and you can just tell the difference between his products over any other products I’ve eaten. The quality and fresh ingredients are so noticeably delicious. And even more authentic than his products is the genuine and kind person he is. Very professional and just top of the line for sure. Very highly recommended!!!
