This is hands down on the top of my delicious bagels list! I stopped this morning for the first time and ended up getting a salt bagel with caramelized onion cream cheese. It was a party in my mouth. Hot from the oven, crispy outside and soft chewy inside. The cream cheese was out of this world addicting! Charles from Pop Up at the union Square location on E. 16th St. saved the day!!! Every time I travel to visit my family I have to bring the bagels home and he had everything ready early and help me wrap the bagels so they would last well on the plane. He is so kind and this is one of my favorite Pop Up locations in the whole city!!!!!!
Tried Pop Up Bagels on a whim and they were by far the freshest bagels I’ve ever had! They came in a bag fresh out of the oven! Finding the Westport location can be a bit tricky because it’s a bit tucked away sharing the big green building with a cycle shop. Parking is also a bit tricky and tight- because of the limited parking, we didn’t realize we even had the option of going inside! PopUp Bagels offers a convenient arrival experience, with employees greeting customers right out of the car or inside the shop. Music, ambiance, and customer service are top tier. The bagels are unmatched: warm, fresh, soft pillow inside, crispy flavorful exterior. Choices of shmears are super fun and change often, so customers are excited to try new flavors. After visiting bagel barn, jbc, bagels king, and other CT bagels spots, none come close to PopUp.
Other bagel shops in the area don’t compare. A first‑time customer was pleasantly surprised by the great service; staff explained options and were kind. This will become a regular breakfast stop. Long‑time supporters of the East Hampton, Palm Beach, and Westport locations praise the bagels, butters, and shmears for tasting out of this world, with customer service matching. The staff are friendly, patient, and genuinely wonderful, making customers feel like regulars.
The bagels are unbelievably fresh, perfectly chewy, and packed with flavor. Staff are amazing, upbeat, and genuinely wonderful. The vibe in the store and the staff are awesome. The shop has turned into a national sensation. Pickle Cream cheese is the greatest invention ever; Scallion is a close second.
Hot and tasty bagels are still hot when delivered, crispy outside, soft inside. A salt bagel with the daily special caramelized onion cream cheese was a party in the mouth. The owner was incredibly nice, loading first‑time visitors with swag and a treat for their pup. 10/10 highly recommend; will be back again.
