I ordered the matzo ball soup with the chicken dinner. Chicken was tender but not very flavorful so I ordered some BBQ sauce which helped. Mashed potatoes were savory (I had them plain but they can come with gravy or butter). The broccoli was a good color and cooked well - slight crunch but not under or overcooked. I also ordered a kale salad and took that to go with no issues.Pricing of the dinner seemed reasonable.Staff were very kind and attentive. The floor did have some crumbs/garbage on it but the bathroom was clean. Music was slightly loud.Otherwise classic diner seating at the bar area, booth options, and open seating. Very family friendly.Vegetarian options: There are some salads that are vegetarian but I didn't check if the other dishes are vegan/vegetarian. I didn't notice any special separations.Parking: Parking lot on the side of the building is free.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

After a concert at the Westport Library, my husband and I ventured in to the Sherwood Diner for our first visit, and were not disappointed! Despite entering a half-hour before the published closing time, we never felt rushed. Ignacio, our waiter, was very friendly and professional -- attentive to all of our dining needs and questions. The shaved brussel sprouts and chicken salad, with crushed peanut vinaigrette dressing, was delicious. I also enoyed a tasty pancake, which had a nice fluffiness. I recommend Sherwood Diner, and hope that Ignacio will be there to greet us on our next visit!

We were a party of 4. The food was great. We had breakfast and the eggs Benedict were perfect. My girlfriend had hash with two eggs over easy. My son had a hamburger with french fries and my son‘s girlfriend had pancakes. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the service was fantastic.

Great local diner in Westport, CT. They offer a wide variety of foods from your typical breakfast selections (pancakes, eggs, etc.) to lunch and dinner options (burgers, etc.). The food is good quality and is a good bang for your buck. There is plenty of seating inside, but it can be a little tight depending on how many others are present.Overall, a great breakfast spot in a prime location of Westport, CT.Parking: There are two sides to the parking lot on either side of the building. There is a good amount of parking, but the spaces can be a little tight depending on the size of your car and how other people choose to park.

I used to love this diner. Then it went down during and after Covid. It closes super early and the menu is one fifth of what it used to be and what a diner menu should be. Also the guy is vacuum cleaning while you eat.

Although the service was very good, I have to say the prices were gauged terribly. We had 2 seltzer waters with lemon for 6.50 each! 2 adults and 2 kids meals for lunch was 84.00 plus tip came close to $100 00. I mean a hot dog with fries and scrambled eggs with sausage for kids, turkey sandwich plus a salad should not come out to that price. Never going back on principal.

We took our foster kids for brunch. The bacon was hard and tasteless .. the French fries were cold and awful. The eggs were ok but the waffle was actually good. All in all, pretty disappointing... We won't be

Ok, so, I feel like I have the pedigree to review a diner. Growing up on Long Island with many late nights diner meals and even parked cars at one. I can say that this diner is extremely solid! First, cleanliness creates "ambiance" in a diner. It's roomy, not cramped and cluttered, which is nice. Plenty of helpful staff. The food has an above diner quality at least in the patty melt, fries with gravy (the gold standard test of a diner IMHO). The PM cooked perfectly, good quality and delish! They serve theirs with bacon, if you it like that way, but, I go for OG patty melt. My dining mate (nameless to protect the innocent) had not one, but, two Belgian waffles. Excellent. I think this place is great and next time I will explore the menu a bit. They even have mixed drinks, beer and wine, btw. Go and enjoy! Oh, I have to try the milkshake too!
