“I actually go to the location in East Hartford... but both locations are delicious. My buddies and I from work go here at least once a week. The dogs are amazing, as are the burgers. Everything is cooked on the flat top grill, and as such, the burgers are not the big fat variety. If you know that going in, they are perfect. The staff is always very engaging and fun, the food is consistent, and I think the prices are very fair. Give these guys a shot... from breakfast sandwiches to lunch food, I have never been disappointed.“

“Honestly, I was there about 3 years ago and food was excellent but service was bad, because no coffee refills....Fast forward to yesterday....MUCH improved ?. Had 4 refills on coffee, bacon was cooked ON POINT, well done just as I like. Home fries were nice and tender too. Service excellent. I enjoy stopping there when my car is being worked on across the street. I no longer live in Central part of CT but my when car needs repairs, I will return to CJ s for a bite to eat!“

“I love this place! Been coming here for years, whenever I'm visiting from out of town I always make it a point to stop and eat here. The food is always great, fresh and homemade, their homemade corn chowder is awesome. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful and there's plenty of parking.“

“I travel to Newington Connecticut and searching for a good breakfast, I found this gem. First of all was founded by a Puerto Rican like me(Luz Ramos). The flavor of Waffle with the Mapple syrup was perfect. The fried egg with bacon over Waffle and cheese was fenomenal. They serve a potato with a sweet flavor that make me happy. The coffee is better than other coffee around..The total price for two people was $37.00. Update I come back before my flight to Puerto Rico and met the founder in person Luz is a beautiful soul. They bring me the speciality dish chicken waffle that was unique, they use only natural ingredients. This time the coffee was perfect so all it's good. 5 of 5“

“I went in yesterday morning for my birthday. Our waitress Tiffany M was so kind, knowledgeable of the menu, and pleasant. Remarkably, she took our whole families order with out writing it down and everything came out perfect!!!! We had a wonderful time. She was attentive and checked on us frequently.

“TL;DR Love the place! Avoid Tomas
I love the food and the other servers, but Tomas... I've kept this in for so long but my brother in Christ I can't stand that server 😭 We've had three separate incidents with that man and that's the reason why I can't come here if I know he's there.
The first incident we had with Tomas he had us waiting for nearly an hour because he gave our food to the wrong table. Whatever, I'm not going to make a big deal about it and the situation was made a little better when he offered to give us some drinks for free. But then he completely forgot about the drinks and we had to ask him TWICE about it, and then he eventually gave us our food and our drinks but at what cost. My friend gave him their card to pay for our meal and he charged them twice, so we had to come back the next day to get it corrected but he sorta fled the scene.
The second incident is when we ordered and he gave our side pancakes to the wrong table. Things happen, I get it, so we didn't fuss about it. But AGAIN it took him another 20 minutes to bring them out since he kept forgetting. We paid via the app this time so he couldn't charge us twice like the first experience.
Third experience he kept forgetting about our refills; multiple times he would check in on the tables around us but us, and when we would ask him if he could just get out refills he would disappear and not come back. We paid through the app again and we just left without our refills, or else we would've never left the building 💀
Last time we went we were almost stuck with Tomas again, until my friend asked the manager if we could get anyone BUT him and they obliged without any question. His reaction to our request was very understanding, which means they're probably aware of Tomas and all his complaints! Please do something or talk to the guy, I have to constantly avoid getting him as a server or coming here in general because I don't know how I'll react if I'm stuck with him taking my order 🤦🏻♀️ So the place is great and all the other servers are wonderful! Just NOT him!“
