What a pleasure to work with a professional who was always, courteous, helpful and took care of every detail of the wedding (food, rentals, liquor, etc). The cocktail hour, dinner and desserts were 5 Star. Michael's attention to detail and his care of each of our guests was amazing! “I’ve been going to G&H for years, and I’ve always been happy with their food. The chefs do a great job, especially with their salads and pasta salads—they’re fresh, well-made, and just taste really good.
It’s my go-to spot when I need something quick or when I’m planning a party. The quality is always consistent, and you can tell they put thought into what they make. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.“
“What an amazing experience! Ariel was incredibly helpful, responsive and professional. I’m not from the CT area but I took a chance on Best in Gourmet, I found them doing a Google search, read their reviews and went with them because of how responsive, on point and easy Ariel made everything. She put together a menu on Thursday and catered their office lunch on Tuesday doing 2 different set ups on 2 different floors. Now for the good stuff. The office staff in both offices were blown away with how good the food was, how they set up in 2 different areas and made their tiny lunch area not only work but somehow feel big. Every single staff member (there were 30 is all) that I had the privilege of running in to today made a point to come over and relay all of those things to me without any inquisitive questions from me. I’m 45 years old and this is the 2nd review I’ve written in my life, the 1st was on Yelp for Best in Gourmet. I’m a business owner and I’m told I’m sometimes hard to impress but Best in Gourmet impressed me and I am so thankful that they were able to provide such an outstanding experience for some special people who really helped us.“

Even when we ran out of wine, they handled it. And when they left, it was like they had never been there--except for the lusciuos leftovers beatifully stored and tucked in the fridge for us to enjoy later on. Can't say enough good things. “What a nice quaint restaurant with a very comfortable atmosphere in small cozy setting. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. Very good food. Wine selection is a little lacking but doable. Price was a little high and parking was a little challenging.“

“Unexpectedly for a deli, they make quesadillas - and they're really good!!! They also have the best Blondies. Deli sandwiches are solid, and the staff is super super nice. Busy at lunch for takeout. There are a few tables both inside and outside but we generally get to-go.“

“Seeing 1 star reviews is shocking so if your looking for the reviews that tell it how it is here you go. The food is really good, I got the chicken sandwich with corn fritters which really hit the spot. I was there during rush hour in which the staff was communicative and friendly letting me know the status of my to-go order while i waited. This place opened a month ago so the staff must have been brand new when people were complaining about wait times which does not seem to be an issue anymore. A must stop if you are in the area.“

“Chris is da man and hooks up some bomb sandwiches. This is a main north Stamford stop along since I had some issues at LaRoccos on long ridge. The staff is polite but when some leaves the door open it can get to hot or cold so of course they need to say something we were not raised in a barn door. If I drop off my guys and I need a quick snacky snack i gotta stop here for some grub and chit chat. Love this place and support the local community business everyone“

He met with us every step of the way to discuss food, staffing and all the details. Our event was not your typical wedding and he helped make our dream a reality by creating a cocktail style event that our guest are still talking about! Food was spectacular and the staff are well trained & hard working. “As I was passing through the area and in need of some nourishment, I came across this place and was happy to be able to get a deli sandwich from a deli. I had the Italian combo wedge, which, for those of you that do not realize, a wedge is the same as what many would call a grinder or, a submarine sandwich.
The folks here were nice and my sandwich was good. It was stuffed with good stuff in between the role that was good and fresh.
I asked them to make sure they did not drown it in oil and vinegar and they did a great job…
The Italian combo consist of salami, pepperoni, bologna, ham, sweet peppers, lettuce, tomato, provolone, oil and vinegar.
Next time I may opt to get the American combo, which is more of a ham, turkey, and roast beast type sandwich…
There are a couple small tables, so if somebody wanted to sit down and eat, that is an option.
There appears to be plenty of snacks, drinks, and coffee available here as well.
Parking could be a little tricky here from the way things look right now.
I was able to turn around and park across the street so my vehicle was facing towards the main road, making my departure a breeze.
I’m happy I stopped here.“

“A&S never disappoints with catering an event. Edwin is always responsive and helped to plan the full event from selecting a menu to rentals to arranging for staff and carefully planning every step. I would use the team again and had a wonderful time. The clean up was fabulous too.“
“I just tried it on a whim. Best chicken Caesar I’ve ever had. Also, it’s awesome having it as an actual sandwich. Not sure why everybody else only makes chicken Caesar wraps. I’ll happily pay $8.50 when it’s that good. Keep up the great work!“
