We recently dined at The Tributary in Winsted, CT and had a very pleasant experience. What stood out the most was our server, George. From the moment we were seated, he was warm, attentive, and professional. He went out of his way to make our 2-year-old feel welcome, bringing her small touches of entertainment and checking in to make sure she was comfortable. Wonderful dinner with family, baked cod dish topped with lobster was delicious, more than needed, another had the filet minion done to perfection, dinner salads were fresh. Certainly a place for repeat visits.

This is a great restaurant that has been in business for many years. The food is always consistently excellent. The service is always consistently excellent. I highly recommend getting reservations before you go. The atmosphere is lacking a bit. While they have done things to modernize over the years, the entryway is rather cluttered and chaotic and the bathroom could use updating too. However, this does not stop us from coming back often!
