New American Restaurants near Windsor Locks, CT

“I had just spent a full day traveling with a layover in O'Hare, and I finally got home around 5:30pm. I hadn't had a lot of time to stop and eat anything apart from whatever snacks were served on the plane. My mom had picked me up, & upon hearing that I was hungry, she brought me straight downstairs to Cask & Barrel. Neither one of us had been there, but she thought it looked nice. The server, Alisha, was happy to accommodate my gluten sensitivity by making me a wrappless wrap. Everything was served in a timely manner, and Alisha checked on us to make sure everything was good- and it very much was! All told, we paid about $36 including tip, for 2 turkey wraps & a HUGE basket of chili cheese fries, half of which we had to take to go.Alisha was very nice, and the service & food was fantastic for a great price. Made the trip home even better, and much easier.“

“I really cannot find the right words to describe the experience you will have when you dine at this gem of a place. It is our "go to" when we want a very memorable evening. From the minute you walk in the door you will be treated like you are the most special couple in the room. Every person that works there goes above and beyond. Came back and he remembered my order precisely… right down to the exact Martini!!! This guy is the real deal and the food is stellar! “We moved to the area at the beginning of this week. We wanted to find a nice restaurant for our anniversary dinner and Tucker's came up on a web search. After looking at the menu, reading some of the reviews, and looking at the pictures we decided to try it. We both enjoyed our dinner choices very much. The wait staff is outstanding. The restaurant is cozy, quiet, and a please to sit and relax. The food was outstanding, and we will definitely be returning to Tucker's in the near future.“

“The food is so good here! We've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and even when the restaurant is busy, it's a nice atmosphere.

Dietary restrictions: They're extremely accommodating! I've been here with my best friend who is vegan, and a relative who has several severe allergies including wheat, garlic, onion, dairy, and peanut. Both were able to order easily and enjoyed their food.

Parking: They're located in Evergreen Walk. There is no parking directly in front of them. There is a large parking lot in the back of Evergreen Walk that usually has some spaces.

“This family has become my family over the years. They’ve watched me grow. In a world that’s always changing their food remains impeccable. I also get the sisters special with half home fries/grits. Soft scrambled egg. Toast and spicy sausage. Other times I get the Carib breakfast - ackee salt fish callilou dumplings yam banana. So much flavor. It’s absolutely the best food ever.“

“Definitely a very nice atmosphere and worth a look. Ordering was chaotic only because it was classic car night and people were everywhere. Once we did get our food it was enjoyable and after a flight of beer we walked around and checked out some awesome looking hot rods.“
