“This place is a real gem. The atmosphere is great, but what really shines here is the menu (food & drinks) and an exceptional level of service you'd expect to find in NYC or Boston.

Food: Great balance between classic & modern techniques. I'm a carnivor and there was plenty to choose from but my wife is vegetarian and she was impressed by her options.

Drinks: Well thought out cocktail menu. A Wine List that will have your jaw hit the floor PLUS service staff who can talk about pairings, know when to offer decanting service and top off your glass at the right moment.

Dessert: A dedicated menu with a range of bites AND a full list of drinks including trendy dessert cocktails, stomach settling digestifs from Europe, as well as a comprehensive list of dessert wines you can order by the ounce. Perfect.

Service: As professional as I've seen in CT. Diligent without being intrusive, prompt without feeling rushed. Amazing attention to detail.“

“Beer is good but we are saddened that they will no longer have the card purchase for $50 for 11 beers. It was a good value. This may deter us from coming. If it is not working for black hog maybe raise price of card a little? We love the beer but beer is becoming expensive at all of the breweries. “Reverie continues to be a top contender for our favorite craft brewery in CT. Today was another great visit…the 5th anniversary of Reverie’s existence. The live music was great, the beer was great, the souvenir pub glasses were great, the staff is always great, and our group of 8 had a great time! “So I have to give so much praise to this winery. First off Jeff is absolutely amazing. I reached out to him back in Feburary asking about using the winery to get married in April and Jeff was so easy to talk to and was so easy to make plans with so I had the best day. Second off a huge shoutout to the staff of the winery. I was married on April 13th 2024 and it was rainy, windy, and incredibly cold. They let us get married on their deck and out of the rain no questions asked. I went back today on 4/15 to pick up a bottle of wine because I want to have it to drink on my one year wedding anniversary of a wonderful memory of the beautiful place we got married at. The ladies behind the bar were so kind and helped me pick the best wine to my liking. Thank you so much for giving me a beautiful place to get married and a beautiful place to have created beautiful memories with those I love the most. “This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Lasting Brass at bars before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery occupies a separate building near a picturesque area with a river. It has 2 separated outdoor patios and a small area indoors. No food is served inside, but food trucks might are onsite occasionally.

I already had several favorite beers from Lasting Brass, because they were not shy to experiment with flavors. So this time I tried all beers they had on tap. Luckily, there is an option to order a small pour. I have to say, that some beers really impressed me. All the beers I tried were solid, crushable and tasty. But the special place in my heart is reserved to their flagship beers - Java Bloom (Imperial Stout) and Contusion (Sour IPA). These 2 were really bursting with flavor, that was complex and layered. On top of the beers, I thoroughly enjoyed the community in this place. It was filled with regulars, everyone knew each other and it was just a really cozy and friendly environment.

I do recommend this brewery to everyone and it is worth a dedicated trip.“

“We visited Middlebury's greatest ice cream while we made a stop in Middlebury, Connecticut. Despite being a small store, they are able to produce a wide variety of flavors. We were served by a really nice young girl.
The ice cream tastes great. Worth the stop, it is situated in a little strip center.“

“Overall good and we will be back, probably not on Sat. or at least at a different time. Place was mobbed and without OpenTable would not have had a chance. Got last table for two, unfortunately where the doorway made it cool. And really noisy. Took 45 minutes for entrees. But all that said, both our meals were tops and I can see why it gets high ratings and is an Oxford favorite. First timers but not the last.“

The ability to order online is also super convenient, as it's probably about a 15 minute drive from my office and by the time I get there, my food is always ready for me to pick up and go. People behind the counter are very friendly and nice, I literally recommend this place to my friends and coworkers all the time, I'm here probably every other day.

If you ever see the Southern Pride chicken sandwich come up in their weekly specials, I cannot recommend it enough!“
