“So I have to give so much praise to this winery. First off Jeff is absolutely amazing. I reached out to him back in Feburary asking about using the winery to get married in April and Jeff was so easy to talk to and was so easy to make plans with so I had the best day. Second off a huge shoutout to the staff of the winery. I was married on April 13th 2024 and it was rainy, windy, and incredibly cold. They let us get married on their deck and out of the rain no questions asked. I went back today on 4/15 to pick up a bottle of wine because I want to have it to drink on my one year wedding anniversary of a wonderful memory of the beautiful place we got married at. The ladies behind the bar were so kind and helped me pick the best wine to my liking. Thank you so much for giving me a beautiful place to get married and a beautiful place to have created beautiful memories with those I love the most. Thank you again Jeff and crew for making this bride incredibly happy. ***Edit to add I got married April of 2024. My feelings are still the same about this beautiful establishment.***“

“We have been to Uncommon many times and the food is always amazing and we have always had a great experience all around but I want to say we had the absolute best service here tonight so I wanted to thank our server Justin D. for an outstanding dining experience tonight. Justin was professional and has a really fun personality. Even though the restaurant was crazy busy we never had to ask for anything, Justin was just there anytime we needed anything. The support staff also did an amazing job tonight as well keeping the table clear of empty glasses and dishes and running food. Just an over all lovely experience.“

“I recently tried the chicken parm grinder at Mad River Creamery & Deli, and it was a really solid choice. The chicken cutlet was nicely breaded, tender, and held up well under the sauce. The marinara was flavorful — tangy with a hint of sweetness — and there was a generous amount of melted cheese that pulled everything together. The bread was fresh and hearty with a nice toasted soft crunch to it , the kind of roll that didn’t get soggy after a few bites, which made the sandwich feel substantial but balanced. I liked that there was a good ratio of chicken to sauce to bread. Service was friendly and efficient, owner welcomed us and provided free ice cream samples as we waited for our grinders ( husband got the steak and cheese for his 3rd time ) being a deli, the portion felt more like a meal than a quick snack. The atmosphere at Mad River Creamery & Deli is welcoming — cozy and laid-back, perfect for grabbing a bit with a friend (or after getting some ice cream). Already know what I want when I return . “I have been to The Loaded Goat a handful of times now. Always a great experience, but today the woman who took care of my order (twice in one day because I happened to drop my first drink on the sidewalk...haha) went completely out of her way to show kindness to me today. That is very much appreciated. Atmosphere is great, many specialty drinks to chose from, and friendly employees. I will be back again soon.“

“I'm new to Litchfield Bourbons. I haven't been impressed with many of their offerings. But their Founders Reserve is one of the finest 8 year I've ever sipped.

“Beer is good but we are saddened that they will no longer have the card purchase for $50 for 11 beers. It was a good value. This may deter us from coming. If it is not working for black hog maybe raise price of card a little? We love the beer but beer is becoming expensive at all of the breweries. “I am in from South Carolina and my friends brought me to John’s Cafe. Everything from start to finish was amazing! Signature cocktails, (They had a Pumpkin Russian cocktail that was amazing) appetizers, entrees , and desserts were all great! It is hard to be on point every course, however this restaurant delivered!! Would recommend!!“

“I can honestly say, I’ve been waiting a long time to visit The Bakehouse and I finally made it. What a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet treats.

First, the breads…The variety is incredible. Each loaf is baked to perfection—crusty on the outside and soft on the inside.

Now, let’s talk about the desserts! They are nothing short of spectacular. I had the brownies and the seasonal pumpkin cookie with white chocolate chips! Did I forget get to mention the decadent chocolate cake I ordered for my son’s birthday! OMG…I could go on and on!

The staff is super friendly which makes this spot a definite repeat visit!

“We had the most wonderful experience at Saltwater Grille on Saturday night! After accidentally liking the Facebook page for this restaurant rather than a similarly named one in my town, I’ve spent the last few months looking at the posts and thinking I have to visit this place. The opportunity came to bring someone special there for his birthday and it was just amazing. Having eaten probably thousands of meals in restaurants I can tell you that I met the best server ever - Suzy. She was attentive without being intrusive, personable without being over the top and she has an amazing sense of humor. The food was outstanding as well which rounded out a perfect evening! We’re already planning another visit up when it’s warmer and we can enjoy the patio and live music!!“

“This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Lasting Brass at bars before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.

The brewery occupies a separate building near a picturesque area with a river. It has 2 separated outdoor patios and a small area indoors. No food is served inside, but food trucks might are onsite occasionally.

I already had several favorite beers from Lasting Brass, because they were not shy to experiment with flavors. So this time I tried all beers they had on tap. Luckily, there is an option to order a small pour. I have to say, that some beers really impressed me. All the beers I tried were solid, crushable and tasty. But the special place in my heart is reserved to their flagship beers - Java Bloom (Imperial Stout) and Contusion (Sour IPA). These 2 were really bursting with flavor, that was complex and layered. On top of the beers, I thoroughly enjoyed the community in this place. It was filled with regulars, everyone knew each other and it was just a really cozy and friendly environment.

I do recommend this brewery to everyone and it is worth a dedicated trip.“

“This is the only DD when i can get my coffee.
I have a DD about 2mns from my house but i rather drive all the way to exit 25 (i am by Naugatuck Valley Community College) to get it from this place. I work in Meriden and used to buy it over there however idk what happened 😐 that they started to make my coffee nasty. Mess up on my oders all the time. Asked for hazelnut shot and would give me a coffee tasting like pumkin spice 😫. Tried an other DD in Meriden and they never ever put sugar in the coffee even though i always ask for 6 sugars. Out of like 20times i went there ild say 2 maybe 3 times they put sugar 🙄🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ so i tried this location on Kukas ln and hasn't failed me yet. They're quick, polite and make my coffee perfect 👌🏼 🥰. Keep up the good work 💪🏼“
