We came in here from Texas trying to get a drink after a long morning , and when me and my friends had got inside we immediately had bad customer service before we even asked to order. When we asked her if we can order she looked at us crazy ( we just came back from church) and asked us in horrible way “ what kind of drinks do you guys want”. After we order she still continued to give us attitude as if we did something wrong so we left and when we walked out she followed us outside and told us not to come back again. This is my first time and will never ever be returning. Very disappointed.

My new go-to Habesha food spot! So far, I’ve only tried the veggie combo (because of Lent), and it’s absolutely delicious. Everyone I’ve taken there can’t stop raving about the Tibs! The place is spotless, the servers are super welcoming, and the vibe is just right—with beautiful Eritrean music playing in the background. I find myself there almost every time I’m craving injera. It’s a healthy, flavorful dish that truly hits the spot. I love this place and recommend it 100%!

Receptionist were not at all helpful or welcoming. At 10pm she Told us to come back and check in as her computer has got a glitch. Really outdated and dirty communal areas.wouldn’t go back again at all
Excellent hotel, reasonably priced, even during the NAFSA convention. Short walk to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Hotel was clean and staff was most helpful and friendly. I picked this hotel because of the reasonable price, location, and especially the ease of getting to the Metro Silver Line, which is just across the street! I'll stay here again!

This hotel has it all - a pool and gym, within walking distance of The White House, an interesting neighbourhood with a grocery storer right underneath and an exceptionally committed and kind staff, each person was very nice to me.
My experience with Mini, the waitress in the hotel dining area was outstanding. Mini went above and beyond. Always asking if you needed anything. Mini would basically read my mind and bring me what I needed. Wow!! She always had a pleasant greeting when you enter the dining area and when you leave the dining area. Mini made my experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Outstanding. Dear Hilton, Please hire more waitresses like Mini. Happy Mothers day Mini! The next time we come to DC we will definitely stay at this location. Mini, You made me smile. We thank you for the excellent service. The food was very good!
This hotel is a great location to get to and from the metro station. Also there is plenty of eating places and stores close by within walking distance. Really only complaint was one of our two rooms was constantly getting too warm and hard to control the temperature. I had asked someone to come look at it but they never did. Having one elevator working was a little of an annoyance but it never was too bad. Also the staff was friendly.
If you are looking for a hotel near the Capitol, Hilton Garde is the one. You can walk to Union Market, it is about a 12 minute walk. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. Also close to metro station.
We are older folks and have stayed in numerous hotels over many years. This hotel is one of the worst places ever. The front desk was a zoo at check in . Very disorganized. Finally checked in and went to the room. The next morning housekeeping knocked and said they needed to clean the room. We said, no that is not needed, we are good. They said we had checked out and they needed to clean it for another guest. We called the front desk and they said we were a no show, so they cancelled the reservation. We pointed out we checked in and were in the room, so how could that be the case. They said too bad, you have no reservation any more for the next two nights. We asked to speak to manager. They said nobody could help us for 2 hours, at 10 am. So our morning was ruined as we could not leave the room, as we would not be able to get back in. Finally went to lobby as instructed and after much stress and headache, plus over an hour on the phone with Hilton, finally got it straightened out to stay the 2 nights. Eventually the hotel admitted it was their mistake. We asked to speak to manager. That person never contacted us. We asked again and they never bothered to contact us. We called Hilton 3 times over the next two weeks to register our complaint and asked the manager to call us. They never did, but they cancelled our "case" without doing anything. It is hard to believe this is a Hilton. We strongly suggest you stay somewhere else. There are many other choices in DC.
