Best Ethiopian in D.C. and the best I’ve had in the US outside of NYC. Dishes are perfectly seasoned with exquisite flavors in perfect balance. We had the sambusas and the vegetable platter. Could not recommend this gem more enthusiastically!
We're in from Toronto. Abuare has some of the best Habesha food I've ever had! We did the meat platter with doro wot. It was well seasoned and the portions filled 4 people. Great & friendly service!

This restaurant felt like a small mom and pop place--we loved it. Food was delicious and it was a great first time experience for us. The injera was so nice and light--the perfect vessel for the well spiced food.
