This place took the number one spot for best meat in DC. We got the Afghani Platter which was like a full 5 course meap that was totally worth it and filled us up and more. Their lamb is so incredibly tender and just falls off the bone so well. incredibly perfectly cooked steak as well. Just 10/10 no notes. Would come here again!

I cannot say enough about the service and staff here. Was a super busy night but had a top tier experience because of the ridiculously friendly and humble manager busting his ass, and highly attentive young female server going above and beyond during our dinner.

The food speaks for itself. Seriously the best meal I have ever had. From appetizers to entrees, absolutely delicious. Could not recommend this place more and will be the restaurant I bring all visitors...

Superb. This delightful restaurant deserves your patronage.

Afghania is a delicious, warm hug of a restaurant with a wide array of choices for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. The experience is enhanced by thoughtful, attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. Stairs to the second floor are on the steep side, so the less mobile might wish to opt for ground floor seating.
