Cozy and Delicious :)
I am from out of town and meeting a friend for a late dinner. I am so happy he picked Al Tiramisu. This is an unassuming storefront tucked tightly between 2 other establishments, but don’t let it dissuade you. The specials are hand crafted each night and are the way to go. I had linguine and meatballs which were a better version of those I make at home and my friend enjoyed the pea risotto which was a soft green color (mint green like a vintage vespa). Both dishes eased our thoughts of Monday morning as we dug in. We left with full stomachs ready for bed.

A solid choice for Italian downtown near DuPont. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. The pasta Ala vongole was good. Both the tiramisu and the homemade panda cotta were very good. A pricy wine menu, but that’s to be expected. A quiet atmosphere for a nice lunch. Good for business lunches as well.

Great little Italian spot! Service was great and fun! Felt like family eating in the intimate interior. Fish was cooked well and the radish and gorgonzola cheese risotto was amazing! Burrarta and honey appetizer was very tasty. Was my first time on a recommendation of a friend and I'll definitely be back!

This longtime DC establishment continues to delight. The space is unassuming, but it has a special charm and elegance. There are no windows, making for a quiet intimacy that is rare in restaurants today. The Italian food is solid. My partner loved her deconstructed mushroom lasagna. My fresh grilled pompano fish was perfectly grilled and prepared. Al Tiramisu is not reinventing the wheel. They give you what you fundamentally want from a great Italian meal: excellent ingredients, assembled with economy, and prepared with precision. Well done!

We had a beautiful meal at this lovely Italian restaurant. Quiet, good food and wine. Top notch, professional wait staff
This has consistently been one of the best restaurants in DC. I've never been disappointed.
This restaurant always delivers in service, quality, and taste. My favorite spot to bring visitors from out of town for a cozy meal.
The food was honestly good.
I just wanted to warn people that they tried to scheme us here. We paid for 6 higher priced meals, all got multiple drinks, even got deserts.
Then they come out with bottles of flavored liqueurs. We didn’t really want any but the server presented them as if they were on the house and asked everyone what they wanted. Was very pushy and many places offer these for free if you order desert, so we acquiesced.
In the end we see a $60+ charge on this stuff that tasted like cough syrup and nobody even drank. We didn’t want to completely stiff the wait staff but we did deduct out of the tip. Now I don’t know if the waiter did this on his own accord, but nonetheless it completely changed my take on this place. They should know better than this.
I just can’t stand for this kind of behavior so unfortunately I will leave a 1 star. If the owner wants to discuss I will modify my review. I understand margins might be squeezed but it’s just bad business to pull this crap on high paying customers on their first time in your restaurant, and it soured our night.

This tiny place was full of charm. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. The fish was fresh and tasty. The truffle pasta was really good. Finally we had to try its namesake dessert-tiramisu, which was tasty without a strong coffee taste.

We absolutely love this restaurant! We have been eating her for over two decades and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly and makes us feel like family! The food is always delicious. We highly recommend!!
We had a great dining experience at Al Tiramisu, celebrating a birthday and Christmas. The Buratta and Laganelle was excellent. For desert we had the seasonal panettone and it was very flavorful. A top restaurant in DC in our opinion!
Cute little place with kind staff; really, really loud, though. The acoustics are not great.

Everything was outstanding. The food service. We will be back here whenever we are in the area.
Al Tiramisu is a solid spot for Italian food with a cozy, casual vibe. The pasta dishes are flavorful and feel homemade, and the tiramisu lives up to the name—rich, creamy, and satisfying. The staff was friendly and helpful, though service was a bit slow at times. Still, it’s a dependable place for a tasty Italian meal, and I’d come back to try more of the menu.
