The small plates provide so much variety and the setting is lively and upbeat. A bit loud for conversation on a busy night, so maybe they could do a little bit more sounding efforts. Otherwise, a lovely evening out.
This place is so great. The food is tasty and the service is top notch! The space is so cute as well. Highly recommend.
The food was very flavorful! Would go again however, the service is slightly slow. We really enjoyed the bottomless brunch food items and drinks.
I love love love this restaurant took my father here for his birthday and will definitely be back
It's not bad. The Balkan salad had way too many onions and the rakia was a pretty pricy, but having spent a decent amount of time in the Balkans it was comparable to nicer restaurants over there. They have a ways to go to get to the level of Kosmos in Sofia, Bulgaria or Albatross in Sozopol though 🤣. Overall 4/5 rating.
I'm not sure if Ambar has gotten too big or if it's the location, but overall our meal was only "ok". Some dishes were cold to barely warm. Flavors seemed a little less than I remember. And, there's a lot of new charges. For example, want dessert with your AYCE meal? Add $5. Ready to pay your bill? Ambar now adds 3.5% to your check. I'm not saying I won't go back, but I am saying I won't do it soon.
This was a real surprise. We had been to the Anbar in Arlington twice and it was great! Loved it! We had a friend in town for a conference, so we wanted her to experience Anbar but went to the location in DC. The food was very poor. Many of the dishes were overcooked. Lack of flavor. Very disappointing. Service was very good...
It gave us the chance to try a variety of food, with a vegetarian in the group. It would be great if one could do unlimited drinks with the a la cart menu. Overall, it was good food, and a nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Easy to access by metro too.
The food was very poor. It was clear that it was not fresh. Salad was bland and tasted like it had been made several days before, donuts were cold and tough, shakshuka and mushroom rice dish also tasted like they had been sitting for a long time. We didn't finish any of the dishes because the quality was really poor.
Great experience! Loved the food, service, and overall experience. Definitely plan on going again.

Food was mid. Super mid. Only thing we enjoyed was the lasagna. Service was lacking because it's clear they are understaffed. Oh, and the cocktails were so bad.
Absolutely love all of the food options available for their bottomless brunch menu! They cater to dietary restrictions too which is a major plus!
Great place to try authentic balkan cousine!
