We went for lunch and were the only customers there so I was tempted to leave but boy am I glad we stayed! The food was so tasty and well seasoned! Probably one of the best Ethiopian meals we’ve had. Ever! And the ladies who worked there were so nice! Highly recommend! You won’t regret it!!!

small neighborhood Eritrean place 200 yds from east exit of U/Cardozo metro. Clearly a place where the community comes to relax. Had premier league playing on the TVs and some enthusiastic viewers. Bar and comfortable couches, with tables that get pulled up to serve food. Beef and chicken tibs were delicious and injera was light and plentiful, also a nice side salad. The hosts introduced us to Zibib (Arak from Asmara) as an after-dinner liqueur. Nice place, nice people, genuine.
Second time to the DC area and first time to this restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious (trust me, we have eaten Eritrean food in many places, including Chicago). Fast and friendly service. Excellent prices and great food choices. Highly recommended!

Some of the best Eritrean food I've had! The owner is so sweet and took such great care of us. Highly recommend the all the food , lamb, veggie combo with injera. Finish the meal off you'll be so happy and satisfied. 10/10 would recommend. I'll be coming back the next time I'm in the DC/ 9 streets
