Asia Nine is a solid spot downtown if you’re craving Asian fusion. Big menu with lots of options — I had the crispy basil chicken and it hit the spot. Fun vibe, good drinks, and easy location for grabbing dinner before a show. Can get a little loud when packed, but overall a reliable go-to.

The food was tasty and the service was friendly. It’s a nice spot to have some decent Thai food in downtown D.C. The Thai Basil rice is literal fire and our favorite dish we had!

My partner and I stopped here for a great lunch. Food was fresh and delicious, and staff were quick and friendly. It may seem a little dead on the weekend - I imagine this is because they get a lot of weekday business from the federal buildings nearby, and it’s not a great place for foot traffic otherwise. So if it seems a bit empty on a weekend, don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s a bad place. You’re going to have a delicious meal any time of day, any day of the week.

Asia Nine is a really nice happy hour spot and an easy go-to for casual Thai dishes. Drinks are solid, prices are great during happy hour, and the vibe is relaxed enough for a quick bite or hanging out with friends.
The menu has a good mix of Thai staples and a few fusion options, so it works whether you’re craving something classic or just want to snack and sip. Service is friendly and quick, making it a reliable spot when you want something tasty without the fuss.

Food was decent. A bit greasy. My main problem was no utensils or napkins. It's really annoying because I was going straight back to a place that stuff wasn't easily accessible.

We were there on new year day when other restaurants in the area were closed. We were immediately seated in this big restaurant. The server was very friendly and attentive to us.
- chicken pad thai: good. The noodle was perfectly cooked and chewy. The sauce was good but it could had more tamarind in it. There were lots of chicken & egg pieces too.
- kapow on rice: very good. The dish was a bit spicy. The ground meat was well seasoned and the sauce was not overly salty and very umami. The portion was quite generous too.

Really great food for a good price!! Loved the orange chicken and the hibiscus lemonade! No wait time at all either.
We stopped in for dinner and the place was empty (1st red flag). The restaurant inside is absolutely beautiful and spacious but for some reason, they sat us right next to the only other couple in the place. When I say right next to, I mean we shared a part of a booth. It was really odd. The menu had a wide variety of options but to me, the menu didn’t make sense. There were “dinner “ options but the dinner option didn’t come with anything extra. I ordered the crab fried rice but that was literally all the dinner came with. When we were seated, we were given about a minute before we were asked what we wanted. It all felt very rushed. It was like we wanted to apologize for coming in for dinner. At the end of the, there was no fortune cookie for us. 😂 Maybe there was no one in there because there liquor license had been suspended. I’m not sure why but my wife said there was a notice on the door. Don’t get me wrong the food was delicious. Just get it to go or do door dash. Don’t expect a fortune cookie tho.
